Putting Tebow in the studio would have been the most CBS thing ever.

Thank God because I'd actually like to watch AND listen to the game.

It said studio, not booth. You could have still watched and listened to the game.

Oh whew. Thanks for correcting me. Otherwise I would've had to watch the TV with the speakers muted. Love Tebow, but hate listening to him speak.

I don't really mind hearing him speak, but I never watch the pregame studio shows anyway, so it really wouldn't have affected me at all. I don't blame him for wanting to get out of the media spotlight for a bit though. As good as he is at deflecting it, it has to wear down on him.

Regardless, Tebow’s response isn’t a surprise. We reported in December that Tebow has been rejecting such opportunities (including an invitation to host Saturday Night Live) because he desperately wants to remain one of the guys.

Even though he most certainly isn’t.

from the original article, which i missed back in december:

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, however, Tebow plan to move very, very slowly when it comes to cashing in on his wildfire popularity. (He already has marketing deals with companies like Jockey and FRS, and he published an autobiography earlier this year.) Tebow has turned down multiple national media and endorsement opportunities, from late-night talk shows to an opportunity to host Saturday Night Live in the offseason.

Tebow desperately wants to remain one of the guys. To do so, he believes he needs to avoid doing things that would be perceived as something that puts him apart from and/or above his teammates.

Tebow should have done it, All players do it when they exit the playoffs. no differant than rivers and other players going on nfl network after the season was over/during the season. People are making this tebow shit rediculous. The man cant even go on a network without being attacked?

Cool. It adds to the Tebow Mystique.
Tebow is a winner and he doesnt want to do what typical losing QBs do-They go on TV right after they get blown out of the playoffs. Let Aaron Rodgers and TJ Yates be in the studio. .

Still waiting for him to say something tangibly interesting? LOL...Now that was funny..

I'd actually like him to be a little more cocky...

It's time for him to stand there and say, yeah, I can make any throw you ask, and yes, I am a badass...
