View Full Version : Tony Scheffler now on the trading block?! What are we doing?!

For God's sake things just keep getting worse...

Obviously Scheffler is no Cutler, and he does get hurt a lot, but we're a COMPLETELY different offense with him, he's one of Cutler's favorite targets, and I'm sure trading him would infuriate Cutler even more.

Not to mention it'd hurt our offense even more. Let's be honest...we wouldn't be able to get much for him in return, and he brings a LOT to this team.

End this madness. Stop screwing around with the offense!:mad:

Honestly, everyone who's seen him play knows how much he means to our offense...this is ridiculous...

CBS4 has also learned tight end Tony Scheffler has also been mentioned in trade talks.

I'll believe all this rumor and speculation when I see it turn into fact and action. Until then, bring on the draft.

You mean the guy that everyone makes fun of for always being inured? The guy that isn't a very good blocker?

When he received the news, Sheffler pulled his groin and broke his wrist.

Did he trip over his dog?

Did he trip over his dog?

No. Trevor Pryce punched him in the grill.

Lets re-read what was posted for a second...

CBS4 has also learned tight end Tony Scheffler has also been mentioned in trade talks

Now lets re-read what was said by McDaniels yesterday...

"He's not the only person in the last few days we've received calls on," McDaniels said. "We've received trade calls on a number of players, which is not uncommon this time of the year."( talking about Cutler and others)

NOW, lets ALLLL calm down!!!

Until another organization puts out a report that says the BRONCOS contacted us to trade Sheffler or Cutler, I will choose to believe we are the ones being contacted and thats that.

He is a water head. Plus I can only assume he has had at least 14 malt liquor beverages at this point.

I'd be cool if they dealt Scheffler. We could grab a guy like Kory Sperry later in the draft and pair him up with Graham. I'd rather see us get something for him because I really don't want us to sign his oft injured ass to a long term, big contract.

That being said, I'll side with WTM and say I'll believe it when it's fact.

I wanted to replace Scheffler and had us drafting Shawn Nelson to fill the "Big WR who can't block but is defended by LBs" portion of the Shanahan offense.

Now I say give the kid a 4 year, 20 million extension.

"So sorry Jay, but look: You'll have your buddy around for a good long while. When he's not busted up you can throw to him, and you guys can have sleepovers whenever you want. Please don't leave."

We've gotta start fixin' this farce somewhere. Trade Scheff before the season and watch Marshall and Cutler get away in the next two years.

That's where I'd lay my money, anyway.

He knew about it though. Shanahan had the dignity to tell him, event though he didn't really like him.
