Hi Broncos Fans,

I went to www.denverbroncos.com and saw that photo of Mcdaniels and Dawkins holding the orange jersey. It made me puzzled. It is look as if they might wear orange jersey for full season in 2009.

Check it out.... http://www.denverbroncos.com/index.php

Any thought?

I would love it if they used the orange for their home jersey. Doubt it will happen though.

Hell......I don't care if they played naked......as long as they at least start winning more than they lose...

Currently the orange jerseys are designated as alternates. A team can only wear its alternate jerseys for two games in a season. So no, we're not wearing the orange jerseys all season, unless we change our uniform.

I hope that they would change back to orange jersey. New Orange Crush Era.

New Orange Crush, with an all over 30'something back field.

Kinda takes the "new" off the label.

Love the orange jerseys. Broncos are orange and blue, not blue on blue with a little orange.

I was reading the transcript (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=334&storyID=8863)of Dawkins introduction, and it had me wondering about the unis.......

On when it hit him that he was a Denver Bronco
"I think when I first got over today I saw the jersey on the table. I think I’ve worn the green for so long that a lot of people didn’t know how I was going to react to this orange. I went to Clemson and wore orange, so I’ve worn this orange with pride already. So I’m going to put on this orange once again and wear it with pride."

No mention of the blue.......................

They should go back to orange jerseys. They were 2-0 from last season.

I have that funny feeling in good way. DenverBroncos.com has posted several pictures of players wearing orange jerseys. Did you guys notice it? They kept posting it. It looks like that they are giving us a hint that they might wear orange jersey for the whole season.

I know they will wear 1960's throwback uniforms on Thanksgiving Night.

They are just pictures, not orange for a full season, even though we all dig the orange.

http://blog.denverbroncos.com/denverbroncos/2009/03/24/1960-uniforms-twice/

Well, it has just been formally announced from the NFL Annual Meeting in Dana Point, Calif., that the original eight AFL teams — the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs (then the Dallas Texans), New England Patriots (then the Boston Patriots), New York Jets (then the Titans of New York), Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans (then the Houston Oilers) — will play head-to-head in one home and one away “Legacy Games” to honor the anniversary.

As a part of those games, the teams will each wear their original jerseys. That means the Broncos will don their 1960 jersey — a brown and yellow uniform with a brown helmet — twice. You can see Head Coach Josh McDaniels holding up an example of the jersey at the top of this blog.

As far as the other AFC West teams go, the Chiefs will don their 1962 duds: a red and white uniform with a red helmet featuring an outline of the state of Texas. The Chargers will sport their 1963 jersey: white pants with a yellow bolt down the legs. The Raiders will wear their 1963 threads as well: a white (away) jersey that features silver numbers outlined in black, and a silver helmet with the original Raiders logo.

Me too. I think those Eagles jerseys are badass. I don't know what it is but I have a thing for "ugly" throwbacks. I think it's cool to see them once or twice in a season. Gives you a little taste of the team history.

I would think that it would be hard to play in Kansas City and have the state of Texas on the helmet. But, hey... at least your uni's aren't brown and yellow with vertical striped socks!

I would think/hope that when they're playing while wearing those helmets...what's on them is the last thing on their minds.I believe it's only for two games and it's about the history of the franchise...pretty cool...IMO.

I wish they could switch to orange helmet with white bronco logo, and orange jersey with white pant. The one that John Elway have wore it in 1994. That was from 1960's, too.

Are they going to wear their orange jerseys for full season? I know I posted this thread from last spring. However, I would like to know if they are going to wear their orange jerseys for full season.

Alternatively, it was just a special orange night because of Jay Cutler's return to Denver?

I think an announcement would have been made if that were the case, so I doubt it. I guess we'll find out for sure soon, though.

Damn.... that's right. Then I think it might be the KC away game we're in yellow as well. But I thought we'd already decided on two games for the orange. Rainbow Broncos this year.
