British musician John Parr re-recorded his smash-hit "St. Elmo's Fire," to pay homage to the young star.

"I was inspired by Tim Tebow, so I wanted to modify the lyrics ... in his honor of the way that he lives his life as being a great example," Parr told FOX 31 Denver.

The Grammy-nominated song was released in 1985 and was originally recorded for the movie "St. Elmo's Fire."

The re-recorded version includes the lyrics, "You know I'm out there/Down on one knee/A prisoner/And I'm tryin' to break free."

The chorus includes, "I can see a new horizon/Underneath the blazin' sky/I'll be where the eagle's/Flyin' higher and higher/Gonna be a man in motion/All I needs my Broncos team/Take me where my future's lyin'/Tim Tebows fire."

Awesome!!

I liked that song back in my younger days, but I think this might just be a case of a one hit wonder trying to capitalize on Tebowmania and become relevant again.

Hated that song. Also hated the movie. Probably the only movie I ever walked out on.

I like the song (the original, haven't heard the Tebow remix yet). I haven't seen the movie. I keep thinking I might, but I'm just never in the mood for it.

Movie did suck. Song was great, though.

Sorry, but 'Tim Tebow's Fire' sounds like a venereal disease.

Oops yes Glenwood Springs. I always do that. My mom/sis lives in Glenwood Springs and moved there from Grand Junction.
