Josh McDaniels is looking for a few good men..Well, maybe more than a few.

The Broncos head coach is spending the weekend in Indianpolis where he and the rest of the Broncos staff will be evaluating the talent in the upcoming draft.

McDaniels said Friday, the Broncos plan to use the draft and free agency to find players who can help in specific areas. He agrees with the consensus the Broncos have to get better on defense, but he also believes there's plenty of room for improvement on offense and special teams.

One of his biggest jobs is helping Jay Cutler fulfill his potential. McDaniels has met several times in recent weeks with his quarterback who's busy learning the new playbook filled with brand new terminology. Remember, McDaniels helped Tom Brady do some great things in New England, as well as Matt Cassel, so there's no doubt he can do the same with Cutler. The coach wants to help Cutler make better decisions especially in the final, frantic minutes when a game is on the line.

Defensively, McDaniels confirmed the Broncos will play a great deal of 3-4 on defense but they'll also mix in some 4-3. It's obvious though he prefers the 3-4. He believes it causes a multitude of problems for opposing offenses who don't see a lot of the 3-4 around the league.

As far as free agency goes, look for the Broncos to be players. They have plenty of cap room and McDaniels wants to target speciific players who can fill specific needs. Of course, he wasn't specific about what those needs are. But if you follow the Broncos, I'm guessing you have a pretty good idea.
