View Full Version : Start NQuinn?

The Godfather, just now on Sirius, thinks the only chance denver has in beating Pitt, is to start Quinn.

Heres a tidbit he threw out:( (2011 was the 1st in 68yrs a Notre Dame player didnt throw a pass)

TT Over the last 3 gms:
30/73 passing
439yds
4ints
5fumbles
1TD

That against the defenses of NE/BUFF/KC.

And dont look now, but here comes the #1 Defense.

Its well known how to stop the offense. And they know he's better at throwing to the left vs the right, as well as scrambling.

I say if Pitt goes up early and TT continues to struggle, switch.

If BQuinn gives them a better chance, why not?

Yea, that was against the top 3 defenses in the AFC for interceptions. I think we should have Tebow be our starting FB this week with Larsen hurt, and he can be the lead blocker for McGahee. Since everyone has a lot of film on Tebow as a blocker and what not and think he belongs as a FB.

While Quinn starts, who has done some great things in his NFL Career.

Brilliant idea. :salute:

Tebow got us 7 of 8 wins necessary to make the playoffs after the great pocket passer Orton got us last place in the AFC WEST last year.

Tebow got us this far and stick with him. He earned a shot to be the "GUY" here. With a offseason of work and a solid TE and speed back our offense can be something.

Benching Tebow would not be a good move at this point. Quinn is prob on the way out and Tebow helped us get those 7 wins.

I've seen Quinn play under pressure... not pretty. Tebow looked awful yesterday but there is no point in jumping the gun and giving up already.

Denver's OL really seemed to break down yesterday...and on the fumble..what was the call? Was that suppose to be a pass play?

And yeah I say give Tebow his shot vs the Steelers. He certainly has earned it.

It's not going happen unless Tebow is hurt. To move to Quinn would mean reconfiguring the offense to better suit Quinn that's to much to do on such short notice imo. Besides going to Quinn would be like going back to Orton except Quinn accuracy is worse than Orton's.

GAMESSSSSSSSS. ;'(

Beating backups is one thing.

Thats why i dont think the record would be any better, had TT started the year.

Defenses would have just figured him out earlier, and we all saw 1st hand what happens when a team plays him a 2nd time.

I wouldn't mind if Quinn came in. Any QB including most backups would have played better than Tebow did last week. But, I also understand that if we can keep it close I trust Tebow in the last few minutes of the game more than Quinn at this point.

I sure am glad Orton isn't even an option any more, that's for damn sure. ;)

Hey Trishly, welcome to BroncosForums.

Yea, they do tend to turn on their QB's pretty quick.

Tebow has a lot of improving to do, but at the same time, he is only a second year player with 14 starts under his belt. It takes time, especially considering the offense he was in in college.

we just might avoid the broncos first ever home shut-out !
But I dont think that EFX will sub quinn until AFTER tebows 4th turnover of the game.
the only question for me is when will that occur, first half or second.

He might lose the locker room too!did you saY lockerroom?
when they passed out the division champ hats and T-shirts to the players on monday it was reported that most remained UN_OPENED and left behind in the lockeroom when the players departed.
Did you not hear champs comments?
the lockeroom is deflated. they have come back to earth and after watching thier starting QB return to reality with his pockets empty of magic beans, perhaps QUINN can be that new spark ?
the cheifs scored 7 lousy points!
That was good enuff to beat theTEBOW led broncos.
TWICE timmy single handedly took his own offense out of FG range.
Had TT just handed the ball off and never stepped back to throw we could have won 9-7

I think champs talking about more than the kc game. the two games prior the defense gave up about 60 plus points total....So champs not looking at his qb and his offense. the defense contributed to 2 of the last 3 losses. so get a grip son.

True. Brady Quinn would have came in and probably had 400 yards and 4 TD's against Pitt because he was so successful vs them in his NFL Career. And not playing in 2 years, would certainly help us more than Tebows pathetic ass would have.

Tebow 0-4.

Broncos Defense, RB's, Oline, Special Teams, WR's, ect = 8-0.

Its that simple. How come no one can figure that out? Tebow hasn't contributed to anything all year.

The polar opposite of the Tebois are just as bad. Please point me in the direction of any posts I have made giving Tebow all the credit for good team performances.

I'll wait...

While I'm waiting, I will agree that the Tebois act as you're describing but that is hardly "ya'll". You act as if someone says Tim played well they must be a Tebois "leg jizzer".

There's a handful of Tebois, everyone else, then a handful in your camp. Thank god the majority of fans are actually able to give the ENTIRE team credit for a good performance rather than the whole team minus the qb.

One could also say that DT rarely has to deal with the double team because teams are worried about stopping our running game, which is enhanced by Tebow's skill set.

Thus, DT's job is made easier and he's able to get open because of the running threat we possess with TT as our QB.

Now, I happen to think that its just a combination of the entire team doing their job. I don't really think that people on this board aren't giving the rest of the team credit.

Just pointing out that someone could easily make a case that is the exact opposite of yours.
