I would rather be division champions and get demolished next week, vs. not being champs and not having to suffer through next week.

Besides in 25 years, who will remember that we won the division going 8-8? You can tell people, oh yeah we were like 10-6 that year...

As for next week, stranger things have happened in the world than the broncos knocking off pittsburgh....for example: Codell, Kansas was struck by a tornado 3 years in a row, on the same date (May 20 in 1916, 1917, and 1918).

If we get to the AFCCG or the Superbowl, people will stop caring that we ended the season 8-8 and "backed-in" to the playoffs. Hell, if we win the first game vs Pittsburgh people won't care.

If Tebow plays well and Denver makes a deep run I think a lot people will push this to side but Tebow plays poorly regardless of a win or two it wont get pushed to the side imho.

The Broncos were the first wild card team to win the super bowl. Maybe we can defy the odds gain this year. Highly doubt it tho

I think that's the only thing that needs to be said, never has clinching a playoff spot been so embarrassing. Sure glad I drive from north Dakota for the game.

Actually, KC finished 2nd to the Raiders in the AFCW in 1969 when they won SB 4 (Played January 1970). http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1969_AFL/

Oakland became the 1st 5th seed to win in 1980 (SB 15, played January 1981). http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1980/

Both of these happened before Denver won SB 32 (played January 1998) as the 4th seed (they had 3 divisions & 3 wildcard teams then). http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/1997/

The Packers, or course, became the 1st 6th seed to win the SB last year. Seattle not only became the 1st team in a non-strike shorten season to make the play-offs, but also became the 1st team with a losing record to win a play-off game. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2010/
