The Broncos signed fullback Austin Sylvester to the active roster. To make room for Sylvester, the Broncos waived wide receiver/kick return Quan Cosby.

That is a deserved cut. Cosby sucks.

Agree with this cut. The guy rarely took a knee and seemed to get worse as the season went on.

If only signing GOOD players were as easy as cutting BAD ones. If cutting bad players were enough to make a team great we'd be a couple dozen cuts from the Super Bowl. Cut for a backup FB though; that's gotta hurt.

The irony. Cosby played his college ball in Austin and now he gets replaced by a guy named Austin. The Patriots game basically killed any chance of staying in Denver.

Huge, and proven upgrade.

I hope Eddie is well and truly p****d for flat having been robbed of that TD return. I don't usually bash the officials, but that was bad.

I think that was from an old tool song about bill hicks. Bill hicks would be a good returner

36-2. That is where we were headed with the trifecta that was Cosby and Tebow and now you have Kern'd the team with his release!

Eddie Royal should have been returning kicks and punts, He is only a servicable WR who shouldnt get much starter time at WR. Eddie Royal is a GREAT returner, Somehow his rookie year when we threw the ball over 600 times somebody figured little eddie was a top flight WR. When he never was. But when you force feed your wideouts everybodies stats are gonna be inflated. Royal should be full time returner from here on out.

"from here on" consists of this week, and one to four weeks of playoffs, because he's a free agent at the end of the year. . .

but i agree, he should be our full time returner. . . i'll go so far as to say he should be re-signed to a decent extension to fill that and the slot receiver role, if he's inclined to stay in denver. . . guy's kinda inconsistent, but he does have some game-breaking ability. . . like the back-to-back catches in the hockuli game, the two TD returns in san diego on monday night, his debut against oakland on MNF, and a few big plays this year. . . for me, that's enough to bring him back at a fair price, as a #3/#4 WR and designated return guy. . .

he has the versatility to fit with some of our option stuff, and more importantly has already started building chemistry with tebow-- and he's obviously well-versed in our system. . . no point replacing him with a new slot guy/returner who's only a few years younger. . . we have more than enough cap space, particularly when you remember the impending increase in salary floor in 2013. . . i'd rather keep most of our young vets, and use our draft picks to fill holes rather than replace usable guys. . .

so, yea. . . make royal the returner for the next three-to-five years, as far as i'm concerned. . . as long as he's filling to get paid like the player he is. . .

yeah i agree to resign him, so he could be our full time returner.I like eddie just not as a WR all the time.

I highly doubt theres a valid wr out there that would jump at the offer of playing in denver.

Royal is as good as gone.

I agree that Eddie is a great returner, but let us not forget that Decker also had a return for a TD in the first game of the season.
