thats great from our team. 3 starters. and 3 more alternates..

We could be sending 6 players to the probowl. That is pretty damn good if you ask me.

So glad champ made it in. I was afraid because he plays on our crappy team that he would not but imo he is top 3 CB in the NFL. If he played on another team that is pretty good I think he could have insane good numbers.

It's the same old thing: People think less of his numbers because he plays half his games in Mile High air. I honestly can't blame them; 3 FGs are tied for the longest in NFL history, and 2 were in Denver.

No big surprises, no; I'd have probably chosen McGahee ahead of Tebow, but fans contributing 1/3 of the vote explains why it didn't work out that way.

Congrats to our guys, but I'm sure they, like we, are more focused on the next game in CO than on the next game in HI.

The Pro Bowl's more a popularity/media exposure contest since fans started doing a third of the voting, and to put it in perspective: We sent 5 guys last year and GB sent 4, but I'd trade their record for ours in a heartbeat:

Colquitt doesnt kick FG's. But maybe he should handle the shorter ones that Prater has troubles with.

I think I heard during the KC/Oak game that Janikowski has never been to
the Pro Bowl..one of the best in the league.

I pretty much agree with Joel..it's a popularity contest.I haven't watched the
Pro Bowl in years.

I know I always ask this question but I forget the answer.....do they still have all the skill challenges and pickup games prior to the Pro Bowl.

The only thing Lechler has on Colquitt is average yards per punt. Colquitt has 1 more inside the 20 and 2 fewer touchbacks. He also has almost 600 more net yards and has allowed fewer return yards.

I will certainly miss going this year. The move to Denver was just too much to handle.

This is totally different than what was stated first on the radio, and via twitter:confused:

from article:

Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey is a Pro Bowler for an 11th time, extending his own record, and will be joined by rookie Von Miller and veteran Elvis Dumervil on the AFC roster, the league announced Tuesday.

The Broncos also have three first-alternates: running back Willis McGahee, left tackle Ryan Clady and strong safety Brian Dawkins.

Second team alternates are quarterback Tim Tebow, punter Britton Colquitt and kicker Matt Prater. Tebow has a good chance to play in the game because history has proven that several quarterbacks will decline the invitation.

Elvis battled back from his injury and showed great dedication & perseverance in returning to the Pro Bowl.

We had high expectations for Von, and he’s lived up to every one of those, being named a Pro Bowl starter in his 1st yr.

Champ’s 11 Pro Bowls show the respect he has around the league and the high level he’s playing at!

Congrats to our three Pro Bowlers - Champ, Von and Elvis. It’s a special honor to be recognized as one of the NFL's best!

I wasn't really surprised. Lechler has the name by now. But both the Colquitts are
better than he, IMO. Lechler can crush the ball, but the Colquitts can place it.

@ Underrated....my son is half Navajo and is attending Ft. Lewis in Durango.

He had to have good grades to come along to the Pro Bowl with me when he was in high school.
Nothing like bonding with your son at a Hawaiian Hooters bikini contest...

what a dad! :D

Good picks. I'm not so sure Elvis deserved it this year, but he did play well, especially after the injury became less of an issue. Champ is always rock solid and teams still avoid him, though I think the AFC is going to have a tough time stopping Aaron Rodgers (or Drew Brees) throwing to Calvin Johnson.

I think Dawkins could have been in, but there are big names like Reed, Polamalu who deserve it more. Colquitt should be a pro bowler. The only person on our offense who deserved a pro bowl nod was McGahee (sorry, I'm in the Tebow camp but he shouldn't be in Hawaii this year). Maybe next year. D. Thomas could be there next year if he is healthy 16 games.
