I was listening to Mike & Mike this morning and Kordell Stewart and some other guy were filling in, they were talking about Orton Vs. Tebow. Kordell Stewart was saying that the Broncos made a mistake by letting Orton go. Telling the listeners that Kyle has always had good numbers and that he just needs the right team around him. I sat and listened and shook my head at the stupidity of the statements. We had him. We had his good numbers, he had the same team around him that Tebow has now....and he lost. He has no charisma, he has no mojo, he has no leadership qualities. Freaking bonehead....Kyle Orton sucks. Tebow may not be the answer, but Orton definitely isn't the answer. Shake the $2mil off the books and move on. Then I remembered....it is Kordell Stewart talking.

it was once rumored that Kordell is gay. I don't know what came of that, don't really care.

I suppose we can all be special in the right circumstances. To heck with orton. I don't like bashing on him after the fact, but it's just fine that he's gone. for both parties.

Top,

I don't think it's about that. It's the fact that Tebow has wins that Orton didn't. Each decision that RC has held steadfast to has, we have gotten better going the opposite direction, so I don't think it's so much personal as it is pointed in the direction of the person who said it.

If it were up to RC, we would still have McD and still have Orton. The past year have shown that it's better we don't.

RC chose to look at the last 2 games instead of the last 7, you make comments, you get to deal with the outcome.

This thread was posted as sarcasm, and if you two yahoos had been paying attention at all in the last seven weeks, it's for having a little mojo fun with the opponent the Broncos are playing that particular week.

I have failed the team the last two weeks, so I decided making fun of the opponent instead of making fun of the Broncos would reverse the mojo.

Orton has the strangest little cult following. The dude never did jack shit for this franchise and yet there is this tiny minority of people who wish he would have signed a ten year extension and led us to a decade of obscurity and high draft picks. But hey, think of the 300 yard games he could rack up during all those losses.

That was not the implication. The implication is that those of us

What I added to that, and what you so conveniently ignored,

Because Orton is a Chief, and Tebow is a Bronco. Tebow has produced more for the BRONCOS in a short span than Orton could in a 2.5 year span. Pretty sad really. I guess a player fan would be ok with that. Me....I want wins for the Broncos, not an inflated stat line for a player and a loss.

That was not the implication. The implication is that those of us
who support Kyle are rooting for him to beat the Broncos. That
is how I understand it. And I take exception to that implication.

What I added to that, and what you so conveniently ignored,
was that I hope the Broncos outscore him. I guess that might
be difficult for some to understand?

If I am a fan of Aaron Rodgers, for instance, you people have
nothing to say. But if I am a fan of Orton's, I am somehow a
blasphemous traitor. I'm supposed to chime in with all the
hatred and vitriol that is being spewed Orton's way. Then I
would be all right.

You just took a massive leap of misconception there...

You want Orton to play well against the Broncos... Most of us want to see Orton throw 5 interceptions and Denver to win going away. We are in NO WAY rooting for Orton to play well against our Broncos with the playoffs on the line, you do... BIG difference.

As far as Aaron Rodgers goes, I too enjoy watching him play and think he's a great QB, the best in the NFL. That said, when he plays the Broncos I hope he throws 5 interceptions and the Broncos win going away.

Rooting for the QB of an opposing team, a division rival, with the playoffs on the line, to have success against the Broncos is absurd. Be it Orton, Vick, Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Brady - ANYONE not wearing a Broncos uniform, when they play us most of the Broncos fans hope they have a VERY bad day.

Don't you want the pass defense to step up and look legit? Don't you want to see Dumerville and Miller get pressure all day long? Don't you want DJ Williams to have a big day? Chances are these things can't happen if Orton has a good game and Denver will be waltzing into the playoffs with their defense still on the skids. Personally, I want to see the defense play a great game. So I still contend that rooting for Orton to play well this weekend is counterproductive to the Broncos success and chances.

I like McFadden, but don't root for him against the Broncos. For that matter, it's hard for me to hope he does good anytime, because his success could lead to the Raiders success, which could lead to them winning a division over the Broncos.

Wishing a division rival well is a tough, slippery slope.

True dat. You just have to consider the source. Many people told him that Orton wasnt a leader (which was verified by super douche McDaniels), people told him he wasnt clutch, also true. So what does he do when he comes back on the board? You betcha, time to gobble Orton's nutsack. Maybe if he spent less time defending Orton and more time talking about the team he supposedly loves it would never come down to this crap.

I just think the general hatred for Kyle Orton made the responses seem personal to you.

Bingo. We have a winner.

Show me where I called RC a troll?

It brings into question how much a BRONCOS fan one is...when that person openly downs the player who has made the TEAM better while openly praising a player who did nothing for the TEAM.

You don't do the shit that RC does, Top. You don't down the players currently on the team in favor for someone who isn't. So no, I don't see you as I see RC. I could be completely wrong on RC, but from his actions is where I build my opinion. And my opinion is he would rather the team lose and his player do well, than the team do well with a different player.
Do us all a favor, G.

Show me my posts saying i wanted kc to win. Orton to do well. The team to lose. Tt to suck/fail.

RC....if you missed my post earlier....ignore me as I will ignore you. I have nothing further to say to you. If I could do it permanently like anyone else could, I would. I can't.

Do me a favor. I don't exist in your world, you don't exist in mine.

Nope. Won't get one from me. You can hide your bullshit behind words, but the implication was clear.

You aren't very good at the semantics game, RC.
And your vanity is obvious, then.

That post was in reply to another poster, and you werent even in the discussion, if i remember correctly.

Bingo. We have a winner.

and for the record there was plenty of bashing on both sides when Tebow first got his starts, it was pretty rough to be a Tebow fan there for a while, so going all Holden Caufield and acting like the world is against you doesn't really hold up....especialy since some of us were taking flak for supporting the current starting QB(with the perception it was player over team)

Just cannot let up, can you? Just cannot contain yourself. Your
thinly veiled insults here are an obvious case in point . . .

Top, I don't think anyone here wanted to get personal, I just think the general hatred for Kyle Orton made the responses seem personal to you.

People say stupid things when they are passionate about a subject.
Sure hasnt seemed to slow down any.

What I find strange is that RC still praises McDaniels but is ragging on the very player that McDaniels wanted build the franchise around.

Good ol tx,.

Show me where i'm "praising mcd".

And where i'm "ragging" on TT.

Cam, certain people have gotten personal with me over Orton for
the last two-and-a-half years. So maybe you're right in that
respect . . .
And when you slipped behind the cutains, they shipped to moi.

I guess we should never say a disparaging word about a player (unless its orton/jake) or hc(unless its mcd).

Feels kinda 'socialistic' around here.

Hey, no offense to Top, but I'm T. Let's try and avoid confusion.
