IF Kc woulda won, I would have thought it'd be flexed, but since they lost, I'm pretty sure it won't be. Maybe Chargers/Oak could get flexed. Though if we win, that game would be meaningless.

Do they even have a sunday night game the last game of the year?

Yes for SNF but no MNF game.

I don't know who would want to tune in for this team at the moment.

Yea, they flex a game after week 16. I think the Balt/Cincy game will be the game to get flexed this week though. 2 teams that need a win in week 17. I would say Giants/Cowboys but that game was already on SNF this year. So Balt/Cincy makes sense to me.

I expect DAL/NYG or BAL/CIN to be the Sunday night game.

This is the 2nd thread started in the last 2 weeks asking this question. I'll point out the same FACT that I pointed out the 1st time. THERE ARE NO PRIMETIME GAMES SCHEDULED FOR WEEK 17! There are NO Thursday night games. There are NO Sunday night games. There are NO Monday night games. THERE ARE NO PRIMETIME GAMES SCHEDULED FOR WEEK 17! Therefore, NO ONE is going to get flexed for week 17. Whatever the NFL has or has not done in the past is IRRELEVANT to this season.

Can you explain this?:

"The Cowboys-Giants battle for the NFC East title will be shown in prime time next Sunday, the NFL announced.

As part of the league’s flex scheduling, the game was moved from 1 p.m. ET on FOX to 8:20 p.m. on NBC.

Other changes in the Week 17 schedule are as follows:"

Yeah just saw that on ESPN

Kinda makes the previous poster who was sooooo adament about nothing is getting flexed and nothing in prime time seem like a completely wrong statement

Yeah, the SNF game was TBD and like TimHippo said, I'm pretty sure that will be the primetime game. The NFL always waits to announce the week 17 primetime game... so that's pretty relevant. Cool bolding and stuff though.

Moving BAL/CIN to 4:15 means less of the country will see the Broncos. While folks in Colorado and Missouri have nothing to fear, other areas may get the Ravens or may get SD/OAK on CBS in that time slot.

I didn't do the entire post that way, just a few key points that have since been refuted.

Dallas-Giants was flexed.

Peter King explains the reasoning for it:

BS with kings explanation....its the NFL and a ratings grab. The fact that 90% of the country won't care will show. Other than the fact that I believe they announce playoff games and times.

I think King's explanation is about spot on. They flexed St. Louis-Seattle last year because it was the only division championship game last year. That certainly isn't a ratings grab. They simply did the same thing this year, it just happens to involve two of the more watched teams in the league. I'm sure they don't mind the ratings benefit...

Oh well, after the win this coming Sunday, the BRONCOS will have their limelight the following weekend being in their first playoff game in years.
