Hi everyone! I joined this group b/c my husband is a DIE HARD Broncos fan and is turning 40 this July. My plan is to surprise him with a mini vacation package for the two of us in Denver. Basically - a few days in Denver to see the Broncos, tailgate, hopefully a tour of Invesco Field, anything and everything to do with Broncos. Nothing too crazy but he would be in his glory if I could put this together. Gotta start planning now for the money thing and so I can get this together. Any suggestions/ideas/websites/special local attractions that would help me to plan this the best? I've done some searching but I didn't find any package deals out there where it's all together. We're coming from Philadelphia so we've never been to Colorado. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you so much!!

Can you stop off in IL and pick me up on your way?

That's a very doable vacation. You can pick up tickets to most Broncos games and would have a great time tailgating as well.

I doubt you can get a tour of Invesco at that time of year but maybe? Also, bring a few extra bucks to stop in at the gift shop at the front of Invesco. They have lots of cool things to buy.

I don't know of an pacages, but it can be done fairly cheap. One airline (and I'll get ya the name) has their hub in Denver and I flew round trip non-stop for $240 out of Akron/Canton last September. Also, not every ticket is for sale the instant they start selling individual seats. They also sell 1/2 price seats starting 2 hours later. Only thing is they can't be mailed to you. You have to get em from will call and go directly in. It prevents you from scalping. Also, just get a hotel from hotels.com or the like.

In total (w/o buying all the stuff I did and food), I paid about $350-370 for the whole weekend including contributing to the rental car, parking etc.

Also, there is alwaysa good tailgate from th folks at the Mane. Link ttached. I usually hook up w/ those fine folks, be it in Denver or at away games.

Better rates on travelcity.com etc, but this airline had the best prices. Agan, pretty sure their hub is Denver...only flights to and from.
