I have a soft spot for Meck as during his rookie season he and his Wife lived in the apartment complex my parents managed in Arvada and he would always come out to the courtyard and toss us footballs. I don't think I've ever met a nicer football player.

It's a travesty that he wasn't the first Bronco enshrined.

It truly is.

Harry Carson is in and his numbers were nothing to Grads and he had MUCH more around him in cast.

I met Meck at training camp when I was about 9 years old. I wanted him to sign a poloroid picture my grandmother had taken of him and I, but my pen wasn't working. Meck took the pen and ran it back and forth on his palm til it started writing. I remember thinking, Karl Mecklenberg is going to have to scrub his hand because of me, cool!
I'll never forget that. Still Display the poloroid in my Bronco room in my basement.

I would be absolutely thrilled if either of those guys got in. The realist and the pessimist in me are on the floor laughing at the chances.

Gradishar had better get in before either of these guys. Love em both though. Like to see dennis smmiths name as well

A partial from Woody Paige years ago.

“Gradishar is the only NFL player in history to record 100 tackles a year for 10 consecutive years. He finished with more than 2,000 and had 20 interceptions. For a 10-year period he was one of the best inside linebackers in the game and was the established leader of the famed ‘Orange Crush’ defense that reached the Super Bowl.”He was the greatest linebacker on third- and fourth-and-1 anyone watched in the 1970s and ’80s. He stuffed quarterback sneaks, tailback runs and fullback dives by lining up 10 yards back and racing to the spot before the back arrived. He was a true student and gentleman of the game, an all-pro and a winner.”

Gradishar not being in the Hall of Fame has to be considered one of the worst disgraces in all of Sports’ Hall of Fames!

One need look no farther than Harry Carson… Carson had a very successful career, and made plenty of big plays when it counted. Statistically, Gradishar’s career compares favorable to Carson’s – they played for much of the same era, and Gradishar as a whole had more tackles, interceptions and one less fumble recovery than the 2006 Hall of Fame Class member. In less time. While he didn’t win a Super Bowl, Gradishar was instrumental in leading the team to its first Super Bowl, and the leader of entire defensive nickname in “The Orange Crush.”

If having over 2,000 tackles in 10 years in the NFL isn’t enough to warrant a Hall of Fame bust, it’s hard to imagine what is. When you consider that Randy Gradishar was the biggest playmaker on the feared Broncos Orange Crush defense, and that he dominated the line of scrimmage on third and fourth downs, it’s simply a no-brainer. 20 interceptions and 13 fumble recoveries only increases his already impressive resume, and his postseason success is more than enough to guarantee a spot in the hallowed hall. I hope the Hall of Fame Voting Committee can right this wrong and restore a piece of Broncos history to NFL history.

(AND HE NEVER MISSED A GAME IN HIS NFL CAREER)

Unfortunately for Gradishar, it's up the veteran's committee now.

I worked at a pharmacy in Littleton and got to know Mecklenburg over the few years I worked there when he would stop by (we were near his house.) My favorite memory talking to him was when he told me he was thinking about kicking Tom Brady during the coin toss of the AFC Divisional Playoff game in 2005. He was such a good guy to me, and would always chat with me and the pharmacist about football when he'd stop by.

I hope TD, Meck, and especially Atwater get in but Randy should have been in for 10 years now.

 at first I thought you meant Atwater the member here. Imagaine if that Atwater was the one who was a semifinalist to the HOF. Wouldn't that be something else?

Dear Rahim Moore,

You might want to check out Steve Atwater.

The "silent" assassin.

Awesome! Two Bronco greats.

Not sure why they havent been inducted yet but it's more than due!

Steve Atwater is one of my favorite Broncos ever. We went from Atwater to Lynch and now Dawkins. All probowl safeties. Hopefully after this season we can find a replacement for Brian Dawkins because I don't think he will ever play in the NFL again.

TD deserves to get in too though.

He was a special back and if it wasnt for injuries he might have been one of the best ever. Sad to see a leg injury shorten his career.

Atwater should be enshrined just because he flattened Okoye
