Ok, so the wife and I are going through and putting together the menu for turkey day. What is everyone making? Any family traditions that you have that are unique?

Our Menu:

Smoked turkey
Fire roasted veggies (zucchini, yellow squash, sweet potatos, peppers, onions)
Mashed potatos
Corn bread dressing
Apple dressing
Mulled cider
cranberry sauce
broccoli & cheese cassarole

Several pies that everyone will be too full to eat :D

Sounds like you already celebrated Thanksgiving. Besides over the top porn, what are Canadians thankful for on Thanksgiving?

Playoff football in November (freaking Stampeders lost in the Western Semi's), late snow falls, early spring, snow tires, outdoor hockey in Feburary and hot chicks in ear muffs. http://collegecandy.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/27/953276_fpx.jpeg

I like Scooter better, Reminds me of Leave it to Beaver or A Christmas Story, but that could be Shooter too, the kid that wanted the beebee gun.

Making some of this for Thanksgiving dinner......it's awesome!

CRAB CORNBREAD DRESSING

1 corn bread cooked 1 lb crabmeat
l large onion 1 stick margarine
l large bell pepper 1 can chicken broth
1/2 cup celery 3 boiled eggs
garlic seasoning to taste

Saute onion, garlic, bell pepper and celery in butter, then add chicken broth and seasonings. Add crab meat and cook for two to four
minutes. Pour mixture into crumbled corn bread. Add chopped eggs. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. (You want this real
moist. If it is too dry, add hot water before baking).. I also add pads of butter on top to bake.

ENJOY.........................

I don't do squat for Thanksgiving and I love it. We have it at my sister-in-laws house. My mother-in-law buys fresh turkeys from a turkey farm and she cooks them up and then all the women (except my wife) cook the food while the men (and my wife) do nothing except watch football.

Except my wife doesn't watch football, she just chit chats.

Sounds like the family I grew up with except we'd go hunting after lunch.
