The obvious question after Sunday's game was why the running game worked so well when the Chiefs knew it was coming.

"I don't know that every time they knew exactly what was coming," Tebow said. "From mixing it up as far as how we're blocking it, where we're going, if we're reading it, if we're not — so it could look that way just watching it, but I think we did a good job of keeping (them) off balance (with) what we were doing, if that makes sense."

Against the Chiefs, the Broncos expanded the read option they used so successfully against the Raiders — Tebow reading a backside defender to determine whether to hand off or keep the ball — into a triple option, where he can hand it off, keep it or pitch it to a trailing back or receiver.

I must say I never thought we'd see a triple option play at the pro level.

Both the Panthers and the Bengals run it a little, but not nearly as much as we do.
