Good deal. Where did you get it?

This, however has got to be a misprint:

Dewayne Robertson Defensive Lineman 4/23/2008: Signed a six-year, $24 million contract. 2008: $900,000 (+ $3.1 million roster bonus), 2009: $900,000 (+ $17 million roster bonus?), 2010-2013: Under Contract, 2014: Free Agent. Cap charge: $4 million (2008).

Maybe he meant 1.7 million dollar roster bonus?

Money matters

The Broncos' foray into free agency last offseason might influence how things go this time around.

One of their issues in the coming months will be what to do with defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson's deal. The contract he signed after being acquired in a trade with the Jets included the potential of a $17 million roster bonus, due this spring, if he played 80 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

An informal count puts Robertson somewhere around 58 to 65 percent of the defensive snaps for the season, so the roster bonus would be lower.

I like drob here, but if his bonus is more than like 2mil we HAVE TO CUT HIS ARSE!

He did well for us, but not that well.

It formatted just fine when I copy and pasted the results from the pickems this week. I had to make a tweak or two but it wasn't too bad.

Worth every penny though. Jay would be dead had we not had Danny G playing last year (especially with Lepsis playing high for half the season).

I'm just worried to death about getting Nate Webster signed.

He was the heart and soul of our defense last year.

Nobody plays the middle like Nate did.

Well,,,,,,,maybe Niko.

actually looking at blys contract. he has already been paid the bulk of his money. the next couple of years its not so bad and if he is considering to restructure then i'd say just keep him. might as well see what he could do with better linebackers and a better dline. he actually might be good trade bait after his restructure if we decide to go that route. as of right now he is going to be making 3.2 mil a year.

OK, I've put it into a nifty little spreadsheet. Special thanks to Devin, who runs the sim-league I'm in, and I used his team-contract template to make it a little easier.

Anyone who wants it, just PM me your e-mail address and I'll send it your way. I'll make sure my box isn't full...

It's all color coded, and I'll explain that in the e-mail.

P.S. I have to leave my internet for a while, so, I'll be back around 9, 9:30-ish tonight...

Excel doesn't format right on here when you copy/paste. Just an FYI.

If you copy and paste and then surround it with "code" tags (the # icon on the new post tool bar) it usually formats pretty good. If it doesn't, if you first paste it into notepad, then copy it again and paste it and surround it by code tags, it will look pretty good. You might have to play with it a little in notepad, adding tab characters (press the tab key) to do some fine tuning.

It usually winds up being a bit manual, paste it and preview, then make adjustments in notepad (adding tabs), the copy and paste again, preview, etc.

The key is to use the 'code' tags.

For omething too complicated, the next two best options are print to PDF and provide a link, or several print screens (as many as it takes height wise to get the full spreadsheet), and then attach the image.

For omething too complicated, the next two best options are print to PDF and provide a link, or several print screens (as many as it takes height wise to get the full spreadsheet), and then attach the image.

Print screen method:

Open up the spreadsheet, then press the "Print Scrn" button on your keyboard.
Open Paint (or your image editor of choice)
paste in the image - CTRL+V
Then, click the select button in paing (a sqare made up of dotted lines)
Select just the portion you want to display (getting rid of the parts of your desktop you don't want to show)
Click, File, New and don't save changes.
Paste again -CTRL+V, which will now paste in just the part you wanted to show.
Save then upload to a file server.

Repeat as many times as necessary, scrolling down in the spreadsheet to show more rows in the "Print Scrn" screen capture:

Putting a space here to show the different images, but if now space is put, it will look like a continuos image/spreadsheet (second one has not line break/space.

Here with the two images with no space between them.

awesome job on the spread sheets guys!

it will be good to referance back to this during the offseason so we all know exactly where we will be cap wise for free agents.

by looking at this does anyone know what the toal cap is? does the signing bonuses get put into the cap?

It's hard to know because alot of guys signed undisclosed contracts and it didn't give the year-by-year pay breakdown of every single player under contract for next season, so I don't think this will be the most accurate measure.

Looking through it, those "undisclosed" were most likely one-year deals.

True, but of the guys who are definitely under contract for next season, it doesn't give contract details for Clady, Engelberger, N. Jackson, Manuel, Royal, Weigmann, and D. Williams.

Plus, for guys like Cutler who have incentive-laden deals, I'm not really sure how that works against the cap either.

I took out the signing bonus and spread it across the course of their career...I know not accurate, but close. I made sure I marked those guys.

i could see engle, nate and manuel all getting cut anyway. that only leaves a couple for us to figure out plus i thought the denver post had a break down on dj's salary.

We don't know the salary cap for next year, do we?
