I felt sorry for Jack, he was the victim in my book. His kid was weird and his wife would have irritated the shit out of me. If I were Jack, I would have killed them as soon as the last staff member pulled out of the parking lot

The woman who played his wife in that movie is intolerable.

I preferred the book's ending - that was back when I still read books. But Kubrick added some cool stuff.

It was a great movie, IMO.

But I agree, that chick is hard to look at and even harder to listen to. I probably would have killed her just on principle.

In all honesty I think that is probably the finest Horror movie ever made. But, it's unfair really because Kubrick is one of the best filmmakers of all time and the vast majority of great filmmakers avoid the Horror genre like the plague.

I can totally understand why he wanted to bash her head in. Look at those bug eyes.

even on the ride up to the Outlook, Jack didn't seem to happy in the marriage. He must have married her out of desperation. He seemed to have a bit more going for him than she did. He should have stayed a bachelor.

yep. never saw the movie, but that's what I hear. She was born to play that part and she did. Time for her to die.

Is she related to Robert?

Nope, but on her IMBD page it says her dads name was Robert. I have no clue how she became an actress. Being related to Robert was my first guess, too.

That soundtrack creeps the **** out of me, everytime. And the 70s carpet in the hotel.

Definitely one of the best horror movies ever.

One of my favorite movies and books of all times. I liked the books ending better as well. I also thought the remake was pretty good.

How does the book end?

In the book Jack catches up to the boy and the Mother in the maze and he yells "boogity-boogity-boo" then he tousels the boys hair and tweeks the woman's nose. They call Jack a "silly goose" and they all have a good laugh.
