View Full Version : Niners, Titans in play for Lloyd, too

Though the Rams have emerged as the favorites to land receiver Brandon Lloyd from the Broncos, two more teams officially are in the fray, according to the FOX and CBS pregame shows.

Jay Glazer of FOX has added the 49ers to the mix, and Charley Casserly of CBS has pegged the Titans.

The same was said about Orton per Chris Mortensen of ESPN, that Orton is not likely to be traded bar a significant injury. My first thought was Oakland because Campbell is down due to a collarbone/shoulder injury.

But all the trades might rest on what happens today, more then previous need. Should be an interesting few days to see what actually happens.

If Kyle Boller can still lead them to a win i know Orton can. Orton would probably be licking his chops to play for Oakland.

Too bad McDaniels doesn't have anything to do with the Raiders' personnel decisions 'cause I could see a straight up trade - Orton for McFadden.

I completely forgot about Pryor. They have a pretty good team, so I don't know that they would want to put it in his hands at this point.

The Raiders also have Pryor - they may want to start him.

I've heard that Pryor is seen as no more ready to start than Tebow is.

Trade talks involving Brandon Lloyd intensified Sunday night, with the Broncos hoping they can complete a deal for their Pro Bowl receiver by today.

At one point Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers were showing the strongest interest, but the New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams were also in discussions, according to two NFL sources.
