I'm sure a lot of you know he's close, but he is very close to getting 2,000 All-Purpose Yards on the season.

So far, this is what he has.

80 catches for 904 yards. (Five touchdowns!)

11 rushes for 109 yards.

23 kick-off returns for 600 yards.

14 punt returns for 140 yards.

So, he's at 1753 yards total by my count -- which leaves him at 247 away from 200. It's unlikely he'll get there, but it'd be awesome.

Regardless, I just thought it'd be cool to appreciate how well Eddie has done this year. Just spectacular, and he's only 22. This would be awesome if he was a six year veteran. He's just a rookie.

He won't get ROY, but there is a reason some of ya'll here are callin' him Eddie ROYal!

Hes only 96 yards away from 1k yards.

That excellent for a #2 WR, besides being a rookie.

Just want everyone to remember my sig and the fact that it was there before preseason. Its going to go as the draft rolls around, but we spotted his talent long before eddie showed in his game against the raidrs

Great first year Eddie...Glad he is a Bronco.

I don't care if he gets any kind of accalades. As long as he keeps helping us win games, like he has more than once or twice.

For the last decade the Broncos have gone through one receiver draft pick after another to no avail. In the last three drafts we picked up Marshall and Royal. Wow! How things have changed.

As well as the 2000 all purpose yards he might clear the 1000 yard receiving mark. For a rookie, that is highly unusual as well.

Impressive, and I had no idea. I first noticed his talent as an infant though, long before pop Warner or school football. I thought then if anybody tries to cover this guy in space they'll dislocate something. The mere mention of his naming sends DeAngelo Hall into uncontrollable weeping.

Great pick. I was scratching my head on draft day but am actually glad I wasn't in charge last year.

Eddie's been a warrior! He's going to have a great future, I'm glad we got him.

His maturity and work ethic is way beyond his years. Cutler calls him their best route runner, and he's only finishing his first full season. Easily more valuable than Jackson, Thomas, Hardy, Sweed, and any other WR taken.

great work for this kid.. I'd also liked to have Jordy this year..

Jordy Nelson was the receiver I wanted. He's had a perfectly fine rookie campaign, getting his feet wet, doing some return work, catching a few balls every game and getting acclimated to the league.

I would still be happy if we'd gotten him, and be looking forward to a good year from him next year when he hits his stride.

The fact that Royal has almost 3x as many receiving yards is a testament to how ridiculously good his rookie campaign has been. His nearing 2000 yards in his rookie year in total yards isn't quite unheard of...but it's still impressive. Brown, Sayers, Dickerson, the Edge, Curtis Martin did it I think, MJD...

It's normally a RB thing. Only 3 WRs have cleared 1000 yards as a rookie, right? Much harder for a WR to lead the total yards category, especially since the receivers who would normally go for 1000 yards aren't usually returners. It's why Brown was so special.

Royal seems like he may be that kind of special. I love it. He's a tremendous addition, and I hope he's a Bronco for a long, long time.

Welcome to the best team in football, Eddie. We're glad to have you.
