I just recently signed up for the Xfinity burst package, where they set you up with 20 megabit internet speed...Sure its fast as heck, but when I do the speedtest.net thing, it claims only 9-10 Megabits is running on Download, and 4-5 for upload. When I go to our bedroom upstairs, its 4-5mb....Is it my wireless router? Am I getting ripped by Comcast?
Anyone please help.

Wireless speeds will always be less. Connect directly to the router or modem. You should be above 20mbps.
Oh; and thanks for calling me. I could have got you set up.

They have a 30 day MBG with Xfinity...I can always call it quits without any fees before Oct 20th.
BTW, I got a new phone not too long ago and lost all my contacts...Can you PM it to me Joe?

Just giving you a hard time buddy. Don't cancel. They'll make you wait 60 days to get service again.

I have the Xfinity burst package in Salem Oregon. They advertize 15 megabit speed. I get 17 to 18 whenever I check it. Don't know if that helps. I'm running a wireless router.

I am not a fan of Comcast/Xfinity. Unfortunately, if I want cable/wireless internet, this is my only option.

Not a fan of Comcast but their cable connection has been faster than advertized and 99.999% reliable. About 1 outtage a year. Where I'm at it is faster than DSL.
