Hi Guys, I hit your official board & decided what the he**, I'll hit all the Broncos boards.

Catzilla here, just wanted to stop in & see if we could spark some conversation between our boards.
Hopefully some of you will sign up at our place as we did yours, making new friends is always a good thing.
Some of my staff will be dropping in from time to time, I hope you enjoy our company...at our place we LOVE having fans from other teams, many stay with us throughout the year.

I use to ball at Mile High when I was stationed at Lowery AFB, I've served in both the AF & Army...really enjoyed my time in Colorodo.

Well, I'll cut out for now & come back if you guys want to talk Panthers / Broncos or anything else.
Our Gameday Forum has articles added relating to the game around the clock...some you may have or may NOT have seen & the arcade / casino is always rolling.

Be Blessed & Hope To See Ya Soon / Merry Christmas From Everyone At The COALITION

Sorry. Somehow this post got snagged by our anti-spam software, probably because it was a first post with a link.

I'll drop by the coalition tomorrow and say hi.

Here's looking forward to a good game. As you have probably seen if you looked through the posts on here and the official board, that rushing performance against TB has quite a few Broncos fans worried.

So much for debate.

As you have probably seen if you looked through the posts on here and the official board, that rushing performance against TB has quite a few Broncos fans worried. It's all good...I seen where you guys were Fan2Fan & I figured that nobody wanted to talk out of network.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome & appreciate kudo's on the site...we are young, only about 1 1/2 years old, but we are doing really well.
We will start advertising in 09 so that should change things dramaticly.

Our site allows ALL LINKS FROM ANY SPORTS SITE, we don't care about the knowledge of the fan either because we come in all shapes & sizes...the main thing is that we are ''excellent'' to each other.

So, as to the game...lets talk my friends.

Carolina CAN NOT overlook the Broncos since they have a shot at running the table for the #1 spot in the NFC.
They must focus & keep that FIRE 60 min EVERY game
Our secondary breakdown is what bothers me, we did show HEART & DESIRE to comeback on the Bucs when we faltered, BUT then again those guys were just tired from being run over again & again....it was amazing.

Our best shot against you guys is the same as it was with Tampa, we MUST get to Cutler & pound the rock over & over & over.
Any given Sunday...it's the NFL & ANYTHING is possible.

What many don't realize is that players are like a chess game..they are just put in place & expected to execute...it's not street ball....if a player doesn't make a play a lot of times than not it's because he wasn't put in the right position.
Lord I hope Trgo ''our dc'' gets it right from here on out !

So, what's your thoughts guys ?

To be honest, the thing that sticks out in your post is, "Carolina CAN NOT overlook the Broncos."

When you're playing another division leader, the term 'overlook' probably isn't applicable.

The Broncos are beat the hell up, but if they don't implode in the first quarter, you're in for a tough game.

10-4, What I meant is in relation to all the Giants hype, trust me...I KNOW the Broncos are far from being pushovers, they have proved it all season.

I knew at the start of the season that Carolina was going to be a really solid team this season, but I didn't expect them to be this dominating. Right now, I'd favor them to beat both the Giants and the Titans if they played them.

On matchups, I think our LT Ryan Clady can handle Julius Peppers just fine, as he's been holding his own against some of the best pass rushers that have come his way. I'm more concerned of his matchup with our RT, Ryan Harris. I've heard Peppers spends a lot of time lining up in the left side, and though Harris has been doing a great job this season, I can see Peppers wreaking havoc coming from there. In some other games, a lot of the penetration has come through the right side of our defense, sometimes blowing up sweeps, etc. I'm guessing we'll work away from Peppers side.

If we can limit the Panthers combined rushing to 150 yards, I'll consider it a very good job. I'm hoping Jake can throw a few INTs our way, and I hope that we can force him to go to his other receivers instead of Smith.

If our rushing offense can get 100 total yards, that will be a very good effort. Jay will probably have to throw the ball up a lot, so I'm hoping he'll only have 1 INT and 2-3 TDs.

I think in order for us to win this game, the Panthers would have to have a sub-par game, and the Broncos should come up with a great game. The Panthers are heavily favored for this one .... great 2-headed monster rushing offense vs. suspect rushing defense; great pass rusher vs. a really resourceful QB with a runningback team composed of a cellfone salesman and 2 practice squad members. :D

The Panthers should win this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos found a way to win this one too.

Peppers vs Clady...that should be some good debate...I'll have to fire that up on our site !

As to sub par games we have had more than our share this year & fortunate enough to have come away with the wins.
We are becoming dominating at the right time and from this point on can not afford to be anything less.

If all plays out well...I'm almost afraid to rest anyone for fear that we might lose the HEART & DESIRE to keep on keep'in on. :congrats:

Hiya Cat!

I see this game being one that the Broncos will be totally UP for. Unlike when they played the Raiders and Chiefs. The Broncos always play consistent with their opponents. Play a woeful team...they play woeful...play a solid team...they play solid.

I think Carolina will have more than their hands full on this one.

My question to you is this... I live in Tampa Bay.... So i tr to keep up with the Bucs and know your rivalry well. But last week, your O Line pushed the Bucs around....

I just cant wrap my brain around that..... Is it Just a divisional rivalry, where the Panthers were juiced up and the Bucs were flat? Or is it a sign of things to come etc.... I mean it wasnt like that the first matchup between you guys.

Your Oline was literally pushing them back 2 yards before Stewart or Williams hit the line of scrimage.

Hi Ya SWMo & Clay

I think it is a combination of several factors.

You have your season possibly on the line, it is indeed a rivalry & most importantly your play calling must match the scheme it opposes & above all it has to be executed.
In the trenches it's all about getting position on your man when the ball is snapped.

I think it was all about attitude the second go around & I think we have many good matchups in the future vs the Bucs.

I lived in Charlotte when the city was awarded the franchise. The front page of the Charlotte Observer...

TOUCHDOWN

In letters bigger than "We are at War" or "The Presidents Dead". I have always thought that was funny. I've always liked that city and the people in that area. Also I have never disliked the Panthers, but with all that being said I want the Broncos to bury them! :D

You won't be able to. Nobody has, and its what we do best

& pound the rock over & over & over.

You should be able to. We are, uh, not so hot on run defense. Or pass defense :tsk:. If you win that will be why. Either that or the "good" Jake DelHomme shows up and roasts our DB's alive. He is perfectly capable of that when he is on, and is one of the most dangerous deep throwers in the game

Any given Sunday...it's the NFL & ANYTHING is possible.

True. Even something as unlikely as a 21 point home loss to the pitiful Raiders is possible. So is a sweep of the NFC South, and you can make the argument that its top-to-bottom the best division in the NFL. Our team is even more erratic than Jake DelHomme, and thats saying something. If our guys bring their "A" game the Panthers are in for a fight.

Whichever team wins the turnover battle, wins this game. The Broncos cannot overcome turnovers with this bad defense. On the other hand, when the offense doesn't turn the ball over, they can light up any team.

The Panthers have a good running attack, and the Broncos have some great speed at LB, especially with DJ coming back. Hopefully Champ will be back. I'll expect him to have to shake off the rust during the first half, so look for Steve Smith to be a factor early on.

The Clady vs. Peppers matchup is a great one. Clady has shut down top pass rushers all season long, including the NFL's sack leader Joey Porter. I know you have a pretty good rookie down there in Carolina, but we have our own rookie of the year candidate here at LT. He has a total of .5 sacks given up this season, and that's not a fluke. The Broncos have left him on an island to block for himself most of the season, and he has been one of the best tackles in the NFL. Everyone raved about Joe Thomas last season, but I think Clady is the best LT to come out of the draft since Jonathan Ogden.

It should be a great game, despite our lousy D. The Broncos are 4-2 on the road, including wins at Atlanta and the Jets. May the best team win!

You won't be able to. Nobody has, and its what we do best.

I think the success of your oline is not because your oline is so good but because cutler makes quick reads and gets rid of the ball very fast. This helps your oline tremendously. Its less time they have to protect. We have seen a top notch passing game, Arizona. Cutler is similar in his quick release as warner. we eventually got to him. we won't be able to stop cutler completely but i feel as long as we limit him, it gives a very good chance to win. IMO, our game plan will be run run run. You will stack the box with 8 and try to make delhomme beat you. You will double up ss so we must have our other receivers and backs be ready to catch the ball. I have a funny feeling that our offensive coordinator has a few plays he hasn't shown this year. You will see a few new wrinkles in our game plan. YOur team is good, they would be great with a solid running game.

We must get to cutler quick, make him get down on himself. if he gets happy feet in the pocket, it wil be a long day for you guys.

either way, good luck, no injuries....

Cutler's quick release is only a part of the reason why we lead the NFL in sacks given up. There have been times this season where he has sat back in the pocket for 6 or 7 seconds waiting for receivers to come open. If the Panthers want to get pressure on him, you guys are going to have to bring more than 4. When you do, we'll go to the quick slants and out routes.

As you said, either way, good luck, and no injuries.,,,which would be a first for the Broncos this season.

overall your correct..

But with a running game we where developing before Hillis went down AND a good run defense that got worse this week with webster back in the saddle we would have had a chance to beat you..

Jay can beat you IF all the moons line up just right and we have Zero turnovers and he has a passer rating above 125.. Which means the WR have to catch ever thing thrown their way.. It is unlikely you will get any sacks on Jay because the totally rebuilt OLINE has really developed into a stellar unit.. mix in a few good runs (highly doubtful) and we get a quick lead we have a chance..

IMHO if Y'all get your run game in gear , and we are not up by 3 td's we are SOL.

I'm guessing you will feel a little different about the Broncos O'line after the game. I know we are underdogs, and have a big battle on our hands. If our receivers drops continue (among the worst in the league), we'll likely be in real trouble, not to mention that our running game is a huge question mark.

Anyway, as to the line, our rookie LT, Clady is in rarified air. He has given up half a sack and I believe has one false start and two holding penalties, while starting as rookie and being in for every snap. Add to that the fact that Cutler is on pace for 600 pass attempts and the rooke LT and second year RT (didn't really play last year due to a back injury) have given up a half sack each.

There is no doubt that Cutler's mobility has resulted in the great sack number. Last week for instance, he made a nifty move to avoid a safety. However, his quick release and mobilty help, but are more of a minor part than major part of the sack total.

It will be interesting. Cutler isn't a running QB, but he is a qb that will tuck it and run if there is a hole, and they do a designed run every once in a while. However, by and large the three pass options are:

Traditional pocket passing (including traditional play action)
Shotgun (possibly see a lot of this, especially with the lack of RBs and FBs)
Play action bootlegs, which typically aren't designed for Jay to run for a first down, but to get out of the pocket and throw on the run.

When he has a veteran team, Shanahan likes to introduce new formations nearly every week. We haven't seen as much of that this year with so many rookies and the constant turnover at RB. So, it is hard to predict what type of passing game, and offensive gameplan the Broncos will have in general.

In general, I would expect the Broncos to be very aggressive on offense eearly, to try and get a lead and force Carolina to play catchup, and try and minimize how much Carolina runs.

i am stoked. If we beat you guys then i will have a good feeling about us in the playoffs. if not, and we do make the playoffs, a one and done seems more probable.

The key is not to pressure jay or hit him, its to contain him. LIke someone said above you will probably have a spy....Thats a really really smart thing to do. IF the pocket collapese (doubtful) and jay cant make a throw (doubtful, because he will force a throw if he has too) then he will take off with it and is dangerous. But if you have the spy- that can really help you guys and limit him big time...

Yes this year the YO-YOs have indeed thrown my track record in the toilet.. but logic says they will pound it down our throats.. Especially if Webster is at MLB.

They may not break any long ones but @ 4.5+ YPC would be even more devastating, that means Jay can not get on the field or is cold from being on the bench after 8-10 minute drives..

While I agree that we probably won't win the game, with the way we have played up and down to our opponents all season, I fully expect this game to come down to the wire and I think we very well could come out with the win if we can protect the ball and force a key turnover or two.

On any given Sunday it can happen.. This team today is a quality team and we have so many holes. Running game is well who the hells knows who is even going to suit up and cumulatively probably does not have 50 carries this year..

DL has sucked all year except for one game that had multiple sacks in it.. I think half of the seasons totals in one game..

We have to play the perfect game today to win it.. The only real positives I can see is we play better on the road, and the Passing game is getting better....
