The denverpost said the billboard plan was posted here, I havent seen it. I saw it on the team site forums. Did DP just make an error in saying where it came from?

They deleted the thread at the white board....

why would the team help in the effort to undermine them?

If dude really does have 7 friends who want to do the billboard...

they should just do it.

Put up or shut up..

WHY come on a message board and make a grandiose anouncement?

It was a mistake in the original article, as to which forum it was posted on. It's been corrected to now list the official board as the location, but it has since been deleted by the mods or thread starter (posters there assume the mods did it).

Because it's more powerful when there's a lynchmob behind it.

And, as a result, it became a national story, whether or not they put a bill board up.

Shit, if I had known that the thread would get deleted over there, I wouldn't have pointed out the error attributing it to our board.

I don't understand how this makes our fans look bad or anything like that.

I've been a Bronco fan for 14 years (I'm only 21), and I see no problem with the billboard.

If anything, it sends a message. Fans keep the NFL running. Yet, the fans are ignored on a consistent basis.

Woody Paige summed it nicely:

And people who paid good money in a bad economy have a right under the U.S. Constitution to boo, leave and chant the names Tim Tebow, Brady Quinn, Jay Cutler, John Elway and Thomas Jefferson. It's a great, free country, in which a quarterback can receive $8.879 million — possibly more than the combined salaries of all the "fans" in Section 542.

Broncos fans/sophisticates know when they see offensive and defensive play that is, well, offensive and defective. If the Broncos don't want "loyalists" to vocalize their disapproval, win.

I'm down for the billboard. I'd welcome it.

I'd rather see Ingle freakin Martin than Kyle Orton. Why? Because we've had Orton for 2 years and he's compiled a measly 11-18 record. Been there, done that. Time for a change.

5 wins... 19 losses in the last 24 games he started.....

that reality is what he's done for us lately......

Maybe I've missed how, but how did the national media get ahold of this? I asked Nick earlier how BM let him solicite his cause as long as they did because they nip stuff like that quick.

Best I can tell, someone Tweeted it out to Vic Lombardi (possibly others), and then it went from there (not 100% sure Vic was the first). Lindsay Jones I believe contacted the person. ESPN picked it up from Lindsay's piece. USA Today got it from some where.

Welcome to the new media.

I forget about the tweeting/facebook stuff because I'm not active in it!

Watching the news right now..
they just teased the next segment.

they are gonna talk about

"The New Tebow Billboards"

Dang them.

It is a "Bench Orton" billboard the guy is talking about.

It is about how crappy Kyle is...

instead the media twists it to a Tebow thing.
