CUTLER, HILLIS HONORED

Jay Cutler and Peyton Hillis have been voted Fed Ex Air and Ground Players of the Week for their performances in the Broncos’ 34-17 win over the Jets in Week 13.

Cutler passed for 357 yards and two touchdowns completing 27 of 43 attempts in the game while Hillis amassed 129 rushing yards and a touchdown on 22 attempts.

While Cutler won this award for his performance in the Broncos’ Week 10 win in Cleveland, this marks the first time Hillis has received it.

But it doesn’t end there for Hillis — he earned Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week honors as well.

Well earned too. This may not yet be a great football team, but I swear it is a pleasure to root for them these days! The young guys are blowing me away

This team is hot and cold, but they show their potential...

The way our younger guys are playing really bodes well for the future. This team is going to be a monster in the years to come, especially if Shanny places some emphasis on D acquisitions.

Great job on both of them, they certainly deserved the honors. We've had a lot of players honored this year.

Outstanding! Go Broncos! Go Cutler! Kudos to Hillis: our shining star in a field of rookies!

And they aren't boneheads likely to shoot themselves either. That applies to Royal and Clady as well. And is there any man in the NFL less likely to "make it rain" at a Vegas strip joint than Spencer Larsen?

The only ones I can think of that might be less likely would be either Peyton Hillis or Eddie Royal. :D

Given that Larsen is Mormon who sacrificed two years of playing time for his mission and a married father I'll stick w/ my pick, but the point is they are all good guys :salute:

Wow, I'm surprised that they swept those awards because there were players with better numbers in all three of them. Congrats to them though!

Through 12 weeks 1/3 of the Rookie of the week winners have been Broncos.

Royal has won it twice.
Larsen once and
Hillis once
