Will this save Perrish Cox?

Yert another reason we need to be patient with Tebow and rebuild the corners next year.

although I am a fan of the squid, I am not sure the loss of a back up CB is reason to call it a season.

In regards to Cox - depending on when his trial is/the outcome of his trial, he may not be available - I think that is what the Broncos will have to take into consideration.

Does it save Cox? I doubt it, the man is likely to being going on vacation to a special state facility somewhat soon. It is too costly for Denver, I believe that they'll move Thompson to IR, and probably hunt on the waiver wire for a corner or two.

Sorry squid, damn. And Cox sucks, so no it doesn't save him. I'm sure the FO can get a CB or 2 off the waiver wire.

Cox is going to jail... Broncos will be looking at the waiver wire for a backup

by save Cox, I was talking about being cut, trail not taken into account. I am not suggesting the legal system will factor in the squid's injury.
I was suggesting Cox was on the bubble to make this team and this injury might save him from being cut.

I really like squid. This sucks. An achilles injury is hard to come back from, hopefully this isn't the end of his career.

Its much easier to stake out the moral high ground with a player that sucks anyways. I agree we can do better off the waiver wire, and without the baggage.

Squid was really coming along as a playmaking corner. This one hurts. I wonder if Brandon Bing is the cinderella story that makes it onto the roster this year now.

Fudge. I really like Squid. I was hoping he'd move into the #4 spot this year.

That sucks. I hope he's able to make a comeback next season. I think Squid was making strides and would've been productive for us this season. I had a bad feeling it was something serious, it's not often you see a guy go down hard for "no good reason".

Hopefully Cox still gets cut and we can find someone decent on waivers.

so much for the only good young corner on the roster. . . waiver wire scrubs, here we come!

on the plus side, the fact that cornerback is rapidly becoming a desolate wasteland on our roster will provide an ideal, made-to-order excuse for not drafting any DTs next year either. . . . hell, throw in quarterback, it could last us years. . . .

Another achillies. Ridiculous.

Pretty safe to assume he won't be able to contribute again for the Broncos, sadly.

Since when is an achilles injury the end-all, tons of players have come back from them successfully...

So now that Thompson is out for the year and we released Cox who will we bring in as CB?

I think we look at OL, DL and CB on the waiver wire.

Possibly trade Quinn if Weber clears waivers because Weber would go straight to practice squad. That would then free up a roster spot for someone on D.

We're only 3 deep at RB and only 1 FB. With our luck with RBs, it will be interesting to see if we grab another guy or two off waivers. Maybe Johnson makes it to the PS, but we might be looking to grab another RB, too.

We currently have only 4 healthy WRs on the roster, also. We're cutting it close and gambling we won't have any injuries at those positions.

On a more positiive note, I heard that Demaryius Thompson is back to practice.
