Sproles. Due to the lockout and the "speed dating free agency", this went unnoticed, but I would like to formally throw a party for the departure of Darren Sproles. You have been the number one Bronco killer over the past few years. Somehow your career stats say you have only rushed for a shade over 1000 yards, but it feels like you ran for 2000 yards on us in some games. I can sleep peacefully before we face the Chargers and not piss my pants worrying about a 5'6 terror.
Thank you San Diego for letting him walk, not replacing him and putting all of your faith in Ryan Matthews, a good running back, not nearly as dynamic. Kickoffs are done in the NFL (I hate Godell), but I doubt I will fear his punt returning replacement either.
Im not saying we are better than San Diego, but advantage Broncos on third downs now.

Yes, this has been mentioned before. Quite a nice thing to have Darren out of SD.
AJ Smith is the only thing keeping the Chargers from running away with the West every year. Guy can't get out of his own way.

Norm likes to help out in his own special way.

Sproles is going to be scary in Reggie Bush's old role for the Saints. He was seriously underused in San Diego, except of course against us. Afterall AJ Smith has allowed Michael Turner, Drew Brees, and now D. Sproles to walk away for almost no compensation...
What a dumbass. You have a young Michael Turner on your roster yet you still run Tomlinson into the ground, shorten his career, give him a big payday when he's pushing 30, and allow said young Michael Turner to leave for Atlanta, keeping Tomlinson, who is gone shortly thereafter as well.

I'd rather Denver faced Darren Sproles instead of Ryan Matthews and Tolbert. Matthews might not be catching on immediately but when he does he will be a top 5 back in the league. He has excellent acceleration, power and good speed. He will log many a 100 yard day against Denver in the next 5 years.

Worst call since they let Michael Turner go.

even better scenario-- he spends his entire career in the division, but the second half of it is an exerise in the same type of misery his sparkies have consistently visited on denver, as elvis dumervil and von miller imbed his punk ass in the turf twice a year en route to denver taking back the division. . . .
yea, i'm a little vindictive. . . .
