...seeing WRs and TEs with #s 84, 87, and 80 making plays for the Broncos. Still weird to see different players in those numbers though. Just a random thought that popped into my head.

Yea, just need Lloyd and Thomas to switch numbers so the tight end is wearing 84.

At least we have the white #87 covered.

Yeah, unfortunately the greatest two pieces of the puzzle are still missing - a certain 'hall of fame', elite quarterback and a league MVP tailback.

For those who do not know, after Eric Decker was drafted, he requested #87, as Eddie Mac was one of his favorite players. Someone passed that on to Ed, and he has since given Eric a signed #87 Eddie Mac jersey.

Eric Decker coached the wide receivers at Eddie Mac's football camp earlier this year. From what I hear, they have a close relationship.

I think we need to see Decker get up and jog back to the huddle after nearly being decapitated to get the real feel of Eddie Mac being out there.

He will, once he sheds his shoulder pads, leg pads, etc.

+1 on thinking I was watching Eddie Mac out there....the way he runs his routes, hell even the way he turned to catch a pass from Orton reminded me of the guy.

I am really getting excited to watch this team in the regular season!

Carol, don't you think he's a little young for you to be mentally undressing him?

she is. I didn't appreciate the shedding of the shoulder and leg pads comment either. I don't know about you, but as a man, I am pretty offended.

no, it offends me, as a man myself, when women look at men, any man, as sexual objects. I think it's just really shallow :shrugs:

Funny stuff in this thread!

On the topic, I have mixed feelings. I think some of these numbers should have been retired by the team...

Lets say Decker is a sleeper of talent, I'd love to see Decker bring back the Mile-High Salute.....if of course he ever gets into the end zone and often.

Hillis tried bring back the salute back in 08 after scoring TD's prior to tearing his ham string. That really gave me goose bumps.

The Mile High Salute started by TD was a thing of beauty in terms of team and fan comradere.

Not to mention a dominant o-line.

I thought it was VERY odd to see the #80 jersey out there. Didn't look right to me.

It really pisses me off to see players of other teams salute after scoring! :tsk:
I mean, I know it's not trademarked or anything but lets face it, the salute was, and always will be, synonymous with the Denver Broncos.

totally feels like the mid 80's with #77 lining up at DT.

It feels like the 90s again until you look at the scoreboard.
