View Full Version : Dreadnought and Yardog's Nate Jackson Appreciation and Get Well Soon Thread

Yard and I came to the conclusion earlier in the month over a beer or eight that we are sick to death of Nate Jacksn not getting the respect he deserves. His clutch catches against the Browns and Falcons helped key two of the best wins of the Year. And then...IR with a bad hammy.

And what happened when Nate went on IR? We all saw the sad results of that. Without Nate Jackson available Cutler ignored the intermediate routes and the middle of the field, hurling pointless long passes to well covered wideouts all day long, and we lost to the loathsome Raiders. Sure, one or two other things went wrong here and there, but this was just too much of a coincidence. Ray Charles could see what happened without Nate among JC's arsenal of weapons.

Here's to a speedy and full recovery, in the hopes that Nate Jackson can lead us to Playoff glory in 2009. Get well, Nate!

Great thread dread, long overdue... The guy's only done everything we've ever asked of him, including switching positions.

He's got great hands, good speed, and a full thatch of chest hair... I feel like he could be my next door neighbor.

Well, I think they could have sent Hillis off-tackle right and left a few more times.

And maybe someone ought to send Cutler a letter telling him all about Stokley and Scheffler.

But I see what you mean. I've been a fan of Nate's for a long time.

BTW, eight beers sound better than one . . .

Don't be a Hater - he lasted 10 games this Year - and that was good for as winning record

I understand were you are with Joe after his comments about Nate but I have always had respect for Joe. He does need a better truck but I still cannot ride against someone I consider a friend just because he has his ass on his shoulders for one day.

Thanks Yard.

I am sorry Joe.

I am deeply disappointed with someof the responses here, and from guys who claim they know football, too. Sad really :tsk:

Nate will be back, stronger, faster, and tougher than ever. 2009 will be his breakout year.

Just got a text from CBS 4 in Denver. Nate Jackson suffered second and third degree burns while trying to take out his Thanksgiving turkey barehanded. More to come. . .

I'm a fan of Jackson's as well. I just would like to follow his career while he's playing elsewhere. Enough is enough. Guys who can only contribute a few games a year aren't worth very much in this league. It would be one thing if it was just a freak year. What's this...year 5 or 6 of this stuff?

I hope this is typed with 'tongue in cheek'.....

Nate SUX! And it's time he's cut so they can bring somebody in that will play 16games a year and actually contribute.

Count his drops, and it prolly is equal to his catches.... :tsk:

Deer kill 1300% more people each year than sharks.
