From AM practice

A look at the happenings at Broncos training camp practice today:

Highlight: Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd might not have connected on any passes in Thursday's preseason opener, but there is no doubt that Lloyd remains Orton's favorite target. The pair had one of their better days of practice this morning, with Orton hitting Lloyd for several first-down conversions early in team drills, and later for several touchdowns - hitting on multiple fade routes that didn't work in the game at Dallas.

The Broncos picked up the pace in Saturday’s walkthrough practice.

The team worked on its hurry-up offense, forcing the players to jog to the line of scrimmage during the the early portion of the session.

Offensive Coordintaor Mike McCoy was giving constant intruction to his offense, repeating the amount of timeouts left and a particular down-and-distance he wanted his unit to work through.

Just like always Orton hitting the pass in practice but failing when he needs to convert in the redzone or on 3rd down... Of course things get a little more difficult when you're throwing against a defense that's NOT ours.

That was painful to hear.

Amazing how well he can throw with no pass rush or fear of actually being hit... What a shame it's not a 2 hand touch or flag league, we'd have the best QB in the league...

Wow expectations that high in the first game after 6 months of being off.

Yep timing should have been exact. Un ******* believable.
