It won't be the real thing. And the Broncos are in no way ready for their regular-season opener. But their preseason opener Thursday night at Dallas will provide the first game-day glimpse of a team now coached by John Fox.
Don't expect the Broncos to play mistake-free football against the Cowboys. Not after the NFL lockout all but destroyed the offseason by keeping coaches and players apart until training camps opened.
Fox is eager to see how much progress the Broncos have made since they opened camp July 28.
