The Denver Broncos hit the practice field at Dove Valley Wednesday morning for one last walkthrough before their first preseason game Thursday night at 6:30 MT in Dallas.

“I’m excited to watch them play,” Head Coach John Fox said. “I’m excited every day but this will be my first time watching they play live. I’m excited about it. We’ve got new faces, new guys to me, new guys to the coaching staff. We’ve got a complete new defense going in so it’s a good measuring stick to see where you are.”

The team leaves for Dallas Wednesday afternoon, but before they do, they had some loose ends to tie up in the morning practice.

For the first time in two full weeks of training camp, the Broncos at last have prepared to face another opponent.

In a two-hour walk-through practice this morning, the Broncos ran a scout-team offense and defense to get ready for Thursday's preseason opener at Dallas. Players wore only shells and helmets in a half-speed practice.

The team also practiced its pregame routine for the first time, so that when it arrives at Cowboys Stadium there will be no confusion of where to line up.
