Royal's well on his way to strong consideration for Rookie of the Year.

Keep it up boys!!

This announcement should bring a sense of pride. It should cause celebration and make me look forward to the rest of the season with anticipation. It doesn't. :coffee:

I keep thinking that it took two 'best in the league' performances just to narrowly get by Cleavland. It has been a sad year.

I guess that there is always next year. Surely massive injury numbers and a close to the last defense in the league can't continue forever. Can it?

I think Matt Forte has earned it at this point but Eddie is definitely in the running.

Most people I've heard think Ryan will get it...

Darn Glamor boy position....

I wouldn't read too much into that, Dean. They were on the road after a very
short week, several starters down on defense and some of their replacements
rusty with only a couple days work, Scheffler at 75%, and no RBs left, so a
FB was playing RB with no preparation.

To me, that showed a team that was stronger than I thought. It would have
taken any team super star performances from a couple players to pull that
one out, IMO.

We'll find out in the coming weeks, of course, but this just may be the week
this team grew up?

Good for them. Royal is a class act all the way. He has a bright future. Many Brandon can start learning from him on how to carry yourself and just play football with no hoopla.

I agree 100% with your evaluation of the team's condition going into the game, Larry. I just disagree with the assessment of what it means as to our future play.

I see a defense and RB position that is, at present, so seriously devoid of talent that it requires a nearly perfect offensive performance to win. What optimism I may have had is tempered by the fact that the win didn't come against a team that is exactly leading the league with their play.

I hope that we both get our wish and the Broncos string some wins together. I just have difficulty seeing the combinations of events which could bring that about.

PS> Today was the second win in a row. I'm already counting Oakland. Keep them coming!

That would be a joke if Ryan won it. He's been decent but having Turner and Norwood running the ball behind you and having Roddy White to throw it to and having the good defense the Falcons have will make a lot of QB's look decent. He's exceded expectations but I think Forte has been the most impressive looking rookie so far.

My thoughts exactly. Didn't he also win ROW for the first week?

Hopefully he can get a couple more throughout the season to make it an easy selection.
