The one who is no longer a linebacker, but a defensive end. Oh and one that isn't very good at what he does.

It was hard to watch Ayers wearing that number.

Nate will do it proud.

I like that Ayers gave up 56 to our new MLB. Now, if only Irving can earn that number...

Hopefully the guy is what we drafted...

I'll take 5 in a heart beat. That will be a out 4 more than we gig out of the DEs last year.

Interesting. Wonder why

Same reason Chad Ochocinco had to wait an extra season to change his name on his jerseys.

I'm sure Ayers got some sort of endorsement deal from Reebok (or it could roll up under their league sponsorship) where they don't want to eat the money on all the unsold #56 Ayers jerseys...

damn , that sucks...I was thinking a new number would maybe bring good luck to ayers..

Still doesnt make sense. If a superstar from another team that wore 56 came to Denver, o have a hard time believing theyd tell, him he couldnt have his number because Ayers was tied to it

Well, if it were a superstar Reebok would probably stand to make the money up on new jersey sales. But that is all speculation on my part. I can't imagine any other reason Reebok would have a problem other than jersey sales.

Isn't this Reebok's last year doing jerseys.

According to the home site, Ayers was back to wearing #56 at the evening practice. DC is on point.

Seeing Von Miller in 58 is going to take some getting used to. Im trying to think of any great LBs who wore 58. I wish they would let him have 40.
