Well considering each stadium hosts 81 games each year and most the fans that leave early have been to millions of games and could care less about what happens therefore they leave.

I guess its better to end up with 10,000 people leaving early or so rather then just 10,000 people in attendence all together.

See what makes a TRUE fan is knowing which players on your team are TRUE to their team and not the almighty $$$$$$$$$$$$ - IDC how good he is - he will never be a true Yankee - Mattingly (minus rings n all) was more of a Yankee (although I was disappointed to see him go with Torre) than ARod will ever be- to me its about team, players n heart - its not just W's & L's

Yankees are known for taking their minor leaguers and going all the way with them - Jeter, Bernie (in my era) thats what makes a team

As good as Arod is - he sucks ass in the post season - IMO he causes more turmoil for our team than necessary and I just dont like him

Im not a big Planet of the Apes stand in Damon cuz of his Sux history and his comment about never playing for the Yanks

I think I qualify as a true fan but thats just MHO

Let's start with my Top 20 Yankees prospects and we'll go into as much detail as you want.

1. OF Austin Jackson
2. OF Jose Tabata
3. C Jesus Montero
4. SP Alan Horne -- Dominant spring. AAA ace.
5. RP Mark Melancon -- I swear he'll make the majors this season
6. SP Dellin Betances -- Better stuff than Horne, but has much to learn.
7. OF Brett Gardner --Outstanding ST with the big team. Brett Butler II ??
8. SP Christian Garcia --Finally healthy. Will he stay that way?
9. RP Humberto Sanchez --On the 60-Day DL
10. SS Carmen Angelini
11. P Andrew Brackman -- 60 Day DL // Out for the season. look out in 2009.
12. C Austin Romine
13. SP Jairo Heredia
14. SP Jeff Marquez
15. SP Daniel McCutchen
16. RP JB Cox --Healthy after missing 2007. Will climb the ladder quickly.
17. C Francisco Cervelli -- Out until Late May/early June.
18. OF Abraham Almonte
19. 2B Damon Sublett
20. RP Scott Patterson -- Too old to be considered a "prospect" (28), I suppose, but he showed a lot in ST. Deserved to make the team.

My top 20 is subject to change, of course. I threw in a few random notes, but let's by all means discuss "that farm system". Bring it.......

I'm not arguing that they've built up their minor leagues now. Having three of nine players in your starting lineup is not "developing" players. Sorry, but it's not. Have they since built up their organization? Yes. That was never the point.

They have a great list of prospects right now.

They have a great list of prospects right now.

Especially the ho-hum types like Jeter, Posada, and Williams, right?

Where did you get the idea that Posada and Pettitte came from other organizations?

The championship teams were a mix of home grown players, trades, and free agency.

I have no idea why it isn't understood that not all prospects make the major league team. On the 2000 team, for instance, Justice, Knoblauch, Martinez, and O'Neill were picked up for home grown talent. Remove the prospects and you remove those players. Yes, it was about the farm system.

Still didn't own me. Three of nine players came from their organization. That does NOT mean they had a great farm system. Pettite didn't hit for that lineup, sorry to teach you how the whole baseball thing works, but AL pitchers don't bat.

MO cant ever admit when he's been beat - but neither can I - I will never admit that gayrod should be a Yankee as much as KB tries to lure me to the dark side ;)

And MO just because a pitcher is in the AL and doesnt bat (which i didnt need to learn from your sorry ass  ) doesnt mean he isnt a great player :duh: Pettitte is one of the best pitchers to play and he was from the Yankees farm system - so there

AND BTW - this is NOT in the smack section - so if you want to smack the Yanks start your own thread - I made this thread so KB, DS, Jay and other Yankees fans can come here and talk Yankees Baseball and learn from KB - who knows more about the Yankees than anyone I have ever met - ever - is knowledge is truly amazing and if you took the time to read his posts you would understand that

He doesnt talk smack - he talks facts - its way better in an argument :D

Pettite one of the best to play? Best to play when...yesterday? Because surely you are not saying the Pettite one of the best to play EVER.

Obviously  If I had meant that I would have said - Pettitte is the greatest pitcher of ALL time but I didnt - My pinstripe glasses arent that dark

He was a great pitcher in his era - thats what im saying but my biggest point is he is a great player (regardless of whether or not he bats) and he came from the Yanks minors

Oh yeah, right under my nose... Bobby Meacham is back??! :elefant: I think he was Steinbrenner's favorite target next to Mr. May. I felt bad for Bobby, even though he was never a great major league player, he was a great dude.

Still have a way better record than the Royals :coffee:

And im gonna say it again get rid of Arod and we are in the playoffs maybe even a few more titles to add to our record setting 26 ;)

its not all about super talent and $$$$$$ - take his $$$ get us some pitching and a decent 3rd baseman - its all about chemistry baby and gayrod ruined that  thats why i was glad to see shef leave - bad attitudes hurt a team more than most people realize, IMHO

$250 million...to $45 million (or was it $52 million)...they better be better than the Royals. Of course, both will be watching the postseason from their couches.

A-Rod isn't your problem.

Overpaying pitchers who sit on the bench is the problem.

Oh...and while I'm at it...Derek Jeter is the most over-rated player in the history of sports (overpaid too).

I do agree we have overpaid pitchers who didnt do shit but you and I will never agree on baseball - so im gonna leave it at that - ;)

Hell most Yankees fans dont feel he is the problem either - but I feel it in my gut

How many titles have we won with gayrod? 0

How many with Jeter? 4

Nuff said :coffee:

And yes i know it was 4 years prior to gayrod coming that we had won a title but look what happened in 04 vs. the Red Sox  wasnt that the same year we signed gayrod? A curse i tell ya a CURSE

PS - Its 57 mil vs 207 mil BTW

I don't understand how one player...the best player in the game...makes this team worse. Will never understand the logic in that.

There are organizational problems with the Yankees, and virtually none of them come back to A-Rod.

I believe in bad luck, good lcuk, karma and BS like that - gayrod is bad karma - thats all i know - thats my story and im sticking to it

If those Rays didn't come out of nowhere we would have the wildcard
But 13 straight seasons making the playoffs and 4 world series titles. Thats not too bad. :salute:

I was there, they showed him briefly during one of the video tributes. Not even worth mentioning. I was saying on the other board, the ceremony was nice but after it was over, like about a minute afterward, you can tell people were miffed/perplexed about Torre not being mentioned.

Clemens... who cares.

I am going to watch the wrecking ball knock the joint down. That's going to be tough.
