Unique rules that you should note about my league:

1) I like using a full lineup of D players rather than a team D.
2) I try to come up with a scoring system to where turnovers & special teams miscues hurt in this FF league as much as they do in real life. Therefore
2a) TD = 6 points & Turnover = -6 points.
2b) Missing extra points & field goals under 40 yards = -3; 40-49 yards = -1 point.
3) Points for fumbles are split between the player who forces & the one who makes the recovery.
4) I've made safeties = 5 points because the O not only gives up 2 point, but because they then have to punt the ball away. Therefore, I give 3 extra "1/2 turnover" points.

I am willing to adjust any of these setting up to one week prior to the draft if the majority of managers wish for me to do so.

A 6th member has just signed up and is using the flag of Spain as the team’s logo. The team 6 slot is assigned to Division 1 by default, which is Sparkie's (Causing Chaos) division. However, I'll defiantly be moving him to RedFalcon's (RedFalcon's Orange Crush) because he's from Romania. Then the 2 can battle it out for the European bragging rights! I want to wait until all of the slots are filled before moving teams around. However, if I was to do it now, then the Raider fan would be moved to Sparkie's division.

Just sent out PMs to the 6 players from last year who has yet to sign up this year. The good news, 5 of them have posted on this site in the past month. Therefore, I know that they will get my messages in a timely manner. In fact, 1 of them just responded right as I was about to click the send button on this post. :lol: Unfortunately, he's opting this year because he feels my scoring system is "too brutal" and would like to try a system that more "positive." My response is that my system is designed to be more reflective of the impact that these players have on their teams in real life. If a player kills his real life team with turnover & other miscues, he'll kill your FF team as well. Nevertheless, it’s all a matter of preference.

The bad news, the league Champ (who hung a '72 Dolphins on our league), was a "lurker." He signed up for this site in order to make contact with me so he could join our league. The only posts he ever made were in the FF thread and hasn't posted on this site since winning the championship. Therefore, I have no idea if he still "lurks" around here and/or respond to my message. I did send him an email, but I have no way of knowing if he's going to respond.

Of the 8 teams from last year, 6 are returning this year. Of the other 2; 1 said he's not interested & the other dropped out before the end of last year. Nevertheless, 75% retention sounds as about as good as you can get.

I just emailed this to everyone who allows emails to be received from the league. I post this here for the 1 who doesn't. :D

Now that we’ve filled all of our slots, I want to welcome everyone to the 2nd annual BroncosForums league. Last year, the league was with Yahoo! Of the 8 teams from last year, 6 are returning. As far as the other 2, 1 wasn't interested and the other quit early on. Therefore, I didn't send him a special invitation like I did the other, nor did he respond to the general announcement I made at the site that this league is named after (BroncosForums.com).

On Saturday, August 27th, I will be sending out an email to everyone in the league requesting confermation that your still planning on participating. Everyone will have until 1 hour prior to the draft to reply or I'll drop your team from the league.

I wish you all luck. Most of all, I wish that someone would give "Kibbles n Vick" (who hung a '72 Dolphins on our league last year) the beat down that he's overdue for! :D

It's time for everyone to send in their predraft check in. The point of this is to make sure that everyone that has signed up is still interested in participating. Anyone who doesn't check in (by email, ff message board or Broncos Forums site) an hour before the draft will be removed. I'm not worried about whether or not you attend the draft. If you want to trust the auto-drafter, then that's on you. I'm only concerned about dead weight teams of derelict managers.

My only concern is that someone might have signed up and since lost interest because it’s happened before. As long as I know that she's planning on playing out the entire season, even if her team crashes & burns early, I'm happy.

Wow, that was a marathon draft.

Not sure what happened with my second pick. I meant to pick Drew Brees and somehow wound up with Hakeem Nicks. I thought I had picked up the QB, and then looked at my team to see what position to target next and I seek Hicks. Have no idea how that happened.

Hope that somehow turns out to be lucky, because I had no intention of drafting him period, certainly not second, 19th overall. Arghhh

5 purposed changes for next year:

1) The league will have 12 teams, 3 divisions & 4 play-offs teams.

2) The top 3 finishers of this year will come up with names for the divisions that they will be placed in next year.

3) Having this be a keeper league.

4) QBs will lose only 1 point for sacks & score 1 point for every 20 yards.

5) Possibly moving to a different provider next year. We started this league on Yahoo last year and several of us are not happy with our nfl.com experience this year.
