Good stuff. Nice to see Jay get the award. He played pretty well against Cleveland. Apparently he's overrated though, so this award means nothing. ;)

Congrats to Jay; good bounce back effort.

Without a semblance of balance from the rushing offense, an overly heavy pass offense will lead to TOs and INCs. There's no way around that. Tough for a QB to balance mistake free football from making or even forcing plays, when he knows there's no rushing offense to lean on.

Brady Quinn played great, mistake free ball, but he was awarded the luxury of mixing up the run with the pass, and almost all his completions were underneath.

If Jay has to continue passing 8+ yards for a 1st down, or even 10+ with the penalties, he will throw more and more INTs, as the defense will not respect the run. He'll be throwing into traps set by the defense. The other option will be him just throwing the ball away more, which isn't much of a choice when there's no rushing offense, and when your defense can't stop the opponent much.

Losing Pittman and a healthy Young was big. I wasn't surprised Torain got injured; he seems to get stood up tall on contact, unlike Aldridge who ducks down.

Good assessment. I was thinking the same thing.
