Today's questions about the Broncos come from Rodney Adams.

Q: The NFL didn't have a salary cap last year, so it seems unfair that teams would have to carry salary cap baggage into the 2011 season — more than $12 million in "dead money" for the Broncos (involving the released Justin Bannan , Jamal Williams and Daniel Graham). How can the Broncos be forced to take cap hits of that type? And does the salary cap apply only to the 53 players on the regular-season roster?

To show how complicated the NFL’s new collective bargaining agreement figures to be, salary cap-contract-rules guru Mike Bluem will be part of the Broncos’ contingent that flies Thursday to Atlanta.

So trading Orton would save 10.5 million? Nice.
