I actually think they're incredibly generic as an indie/folk/bluegrass band, as that sort of thing is beginning to trend.
Despite that, I absolutely love listening to them haha. Regardless of how generic, I can't help but feel the need to sing along to most of the stuff on their debut album. The Cave especially. The harmonies are just so nice.
I don't think they're groundbreaking, but when i'm in the mood for singing I go find that CD.

I'm not a huge fan of bluegrass in general - anything with a banjo or saxophone (different genres, I know) I typically steer clear of.
That said, I think these guys are talented and have a few catchy tunes, just not exactly right up my alley.

See, I love the banjo and folksy stuff like this. In the end, it's just not very original, good but novelty type stuff. It's the definition of a guilty pleasure for me.
I will curse most things that involve the saxophone though. **** that. Unless it's Van Morrison, then I can dig it.

I've been a fan for well over a year. This time last year, I was telling everyone who would listen to me how great they were. Now they're kind of old hat to me.

Hopefully, you're not playing the uncensored version. .. I can time the mute button perfectly when my daughter is in the car. .. assuming some ass-hat doesn't slam on their brakes in front of me.

That's the first time I've heard any of their stuff....I like it.
Have you heard Steve Martin's stuff (yes, the comedian). He's a very talented song writer and has a pretty good band. He's gonna be in Boise in three weeks, and I'm hoping I can catch it.
