I imagine him gazing at it longingly and recollecting the sweaty odor it had so many months ago, when he crept into the team laundry room and held it to his face, inhaling in a state of sheer ecstasy. I imagine that fighting the urge to take it from the shrine he keeps it in is a day-to-day struggle.

Good for you! Hopefully you have the same luck I do when I buy jerseys (the player is gone before the offseason is over) Which is the main reason I try not to buy jerseys.

The only times it hasn't happened is I bought a Champ jersey when he first got here and a Tebow Jersey last year (so apparently the effect doesn't work on GOOD players) I'd buy an Orton Jersey but I don't think I could stomach it even if it was for a good cause.

Or you could wear bronco stuff that doesn't have a players name on it. A Jersey with a HoF'ers name... or just "Broncos" across the back. Lots of Broncos gear that doesn't have a specific name.

Ya, I hear ya. I should, esp for when I travel out of the state.
Its crazy, but I spend time every day reading about the Broncos. Crazy when I think about how much of my time is taken with following Bronco Football. I guess everyone on this board is that way. I was pretty fanatical, compared to most casual fans, during the draft. I was on it 24/7...and when I wasnt watching it , I was listening to it in my car or on the computer..All for one reason, The Broncos. Good Lord! What has happened to my life? LOL...

Kyle Orton is a horrible QB and has shown to be an even worse leader.

Timothy Richard FTW!

well, when you can get them as CHEAP as you can get Kyle Orton jerseys, you don't have to be as picky.

For those who say passer rating is an over rated stat. Look at the following article.

Kyle Orton is your guy.

This is an example of people who don't like stats, and how they compare to the rest of the league at the time, or currently.

Strange. I just saw you knock down stats for having too many variables when they showed that the weaker the QB the WR % went down. Now these stats (the awesome QBR) seem viable to you. Odd how that works.

We have already did the stats thing. Cherry picking stats without adding all the variables is nothing to debate.

Look at the 3rd downs converted by our RB's. Our Starter Moreno had averaged about 1.7 - 2.1 First downs a game. That can be added into the mix. So we would have to watch 4 quarters of football to watch our first rounder get us a couple first downs on the ground. If we were lucky. Nobody can convert 3rd downs if there is no run game.

it doesn't measure up to your posts that amount to "I agree."

But the fact that play calling was crappy and that screwed over the running game would actually mean our running game sucked would it? Give a RB a chance to run once every 2 sets of downs or even 1 running call per 2 sets of downs. McD did not utilize the running game correctly. Terrel Davis even said so, you have to give the running back the ball to get him in a grove and not keep him cold all game. McD ran with cold RB every game which also causes injury issues.

This thread needs bumped, the Kyle Orton roast must continue

So on another board someone made the remark that nothing in the world could possibly make Orton's trade value higher, but I disagree. I thought of a few things that would make KO's trade value higher:

-All the QBs in the NFL could fly to a small island for a QB convention and the island could sink killing everyone except Kyle who escapes on a makeshift raft constructed out of empty Jack Daniels bottles. This would raise his trade value for a small window of time until 60 college QBs declare for the supplemental draft.

-Everyone in the world except for Kyle could have their arms spontaneously combust which would leave Kyle as the 8th or 9th best QB in the world. We could probably get that second round pick we want at that point.

-The NFL could decide to start awarding the offense 2 points every time their QB is sacked, which would make Kyle the most sought after commodity in the history of the NFL and he would retire as he all-time leading scorer.

-James Harrison could be named commissioner and in a move to reduce injuries decide to abolish 3rd downs and the 4th quarter. This would definitely help Kyle's stock, until teams figured out that 2nd down is the new 3rd down and the 3rd quarter is the new 4th quarter.

Theres plenty of ways to raise Kyle's trade value.
