It's that time of the year for the battle to get to the CWS. Watching Ill/Kansas State at the moment, but later a great game between Cal St Fullerton/Stanford on ESPNU @1100pm est.

Good luck to your Gamecocks, Skinny. I see they're #1 in their regional. LSU wasn't good enough this year. Good to see many of SEC teams in the brackets and Pac 12 teams.

Here's the bracket.....http://www.ncaa.com/brackets/baseball/d1/2011

Top of the 3rd! 0-0. It's on ESPN at the moment and Oregon St/Vandy will be on ESPNU in about an hour!

I'd like to see the Sundevils win this series with Texass!!

Miss St battled hard against Florida! Vickerson did a hell of a job for the Bulldogs in the series, but the bats of Florida just a little too much!!

So far, Florida, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt in the CWS!

Clutch walk-off single to send 2 guys home by Virginia to win the game and Virginia's going to the CWS! Texas A&M taking care of business at the top of the 4th!

OH, Florida will take the Longhorns down!

One of the better memories of my childhood involved my Dad and my Grandpa taking me to Omaha on a random whim to watch the College World Series in person... Grandpa is a Tulane grad, while my Dad had a fondness for LSU... Both had made it that year, so it was a special occasion.

I remember very little about the actual games outside of the constant heckling of the foul ball-chasing girl always missing, overpriced Dippin' Dots, and my grandpa sneaking in a flask to the game and making a ton of friends because of it, but the atmosphere in the old Rosenwhatever stadium, and how little else ever happened in this town besides this one fantastic event... That was pretty cool.

Down goes the Big 12 from the CWS!

SEC, Pac 10, and ACC left to battle it out.

I'll be pulling for your Gamecocks, Skinny!

Nonetheless, another SEC champ will come away from Omaha.

Getting out of bases loaded with no outs and bottom of the 9th.....great game by the Gamecocks!

Sloppy playing on Florida's part. SC should repeat, but they've had some late game luck on their side throughout the tourney

Good pitching and great defense isn't what I call luck especially getting out of the bases loaded with zero outs and that great throw from left field to get the game winning run out. Frustration is what got the best of the Gators with their errors especially the catcher and the Gamecocks got into their heads and took advantage of it.

Florida's not done by a long shot but at least the Gamecocks got past the Gator's best pitcher. And I believe #22 for SC is up for tonight which is their guy. Overall, a solid ballgame last night.
