WOW - I don't like to hear this, as I like Vic & Gary much more than Drew Sochier, which I don't care for his style at all. I do think Rod Mackey and Susie Wargin are ok though.
The Broncos and KCNC-TV, the local CBS affiliate on Channel 4 are ending their flagship relationship after seven seasons.
The Broncos are in discussions with KUSA-TV Channel 9, but team president Joe Ellis said "nothing is finalized."
Apparently, the Broncos' new era is not restricted to adding John Elway to oversee football operations and John Fox as head coach.
That the Broncos and Channel 4 are severing ties was a surprise considering the national CBS network is carrying 12 Broncos regular-season games this year, and the extensive coverage provided by KCNC anchors Gary Miller and Vic Lombardi.
As the team's flagship station, Channel 4 had carried at least three of the Broncos' four preseason games each year and produced a weekly head coaches' show. The station also had aired shows with star players such as John Lynch and Jay Cutler, and provided extended pregame and postgame coverage.
