The good thing about the bye is at least we won't be humiliated this weekend. Ordinarily I don’t like bye weeks for the broncos because I don’t get to watch my team play but after watching the gradual deterioration this season I actually welcome a bye this weekend. We won’t have to suffer the pain of watching opposing RB’s average over 5 yards a carry, QB’s completing over 72% of their passes, drive saving penalties or teams scoring over 30+ points against the worst defense ever fielded by the Broncos. We’ll also be spared fumbles, interceptions and drive killing penalties by the offense. Yup, this week nothing bad will happen with the Broncos. Good change huh? The optimist in me hopes the week off will give the injured players time to heal, will give the guys who haven’t been pulling their weight some time to reflect, a wake up call and will give the coaches some time to make some changes that can keep this sinking boat from going under. The realist in me see’s the only hope to keep from suffering through a humiliating season is for the offense to be better than the defense is bad and THAT is a tall order.

After the way the Broncos have been playing I'm predicting the bye to win 34-13.

I'm just hoping we make it through this weekend without anymore injuries.

I keep waiting for these stories to show up on rotoworld:

Jay Cutler pulls his groin walking down jetway to board plane to fly home for the weekend.

DJ Williams pulls groin while climbing of the bend of this picnic table at his surburban home.

In a shocking story, the Greek pulls his groin while treating Cutler and Williams' groins....

Good lord no joke. I can see it on the crawler right now: "Broncos WR Brandon Marshall impossibly pulls his groin while pulling his groin- ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports."

I remember one game way back the final score was 49-7.

The only reason we got the 7 was a kickoff return for a TD wanna say it was by Goldie Sellers but could be wrong... other than that I think we got on their side of the field once to like the 45 yard line.. Seem to think this was a chefs game..

We had another game where anytime the raiders would get to our 30 yard line in the fourth quarter they would punt as they were in range of the south standers and lots of they brought in a supply of batteries to chuck at them.. they had to have a police escort into their locker room at the end of the game.. Some stayed on the field until most of the south standers went or the stands were cleared by the police.. do not remember the score of that one but we were inept then also..

neither the offense or defense could do much of anything.. there were some really bleak years back then.

At least now we Have Jay to entertain us.

If the defense can raise its level of play against Bye, we can hold them to three TDs and come out of this week with a tie.:salute:
