Anybody miss me while I was out at sea?

Didn't think so.

Anyway, I was in San Diego for just over a week. I went to visit an old friend from high school for a few days, and then go on a fishing trip with my dad for a week. This is where we went (Alijos Rocks).

Well, I wish I had some pictures of me, but all the good ones are on my old man's camera. There are a couple really nice shots of me holding some big fish, but I don't have them.

Here's one of my dad, eventually catching a fish head (shark got to the fish en route to the boat). He was fun to watch when he got a good bite.

Here are a couple of other random pics.

If you ever decide you want to go on a trip like this, I would recommend the Royal Polaris (http://www.royalpolaris.com/). Best boat, captain, and crew period.

In other news, I start my new job this Monday, October 1st. I'll be working in the Tabor Center building. I got an apartment down the street so I won't have to commute every single day to and from the Springs until we find a house in Denver we like. If any of you live in the downtown/metro area, hit me up so we can grab a drink or something sometime.

I'm really close to buying my wife a nice new car. Anyone have any recommendations for a sedan? I'm leaning toward a Lexus/Infiniti, but we've also looked at Hyundais...I'm thinking something with all wheel drive would be nice. Anyone have any experience with the GS series or the M35/G35x?

I will be scarce the month of October, but I'll do my best to poke my nose in here when I can.

It's going to be hard to enjoy my last weekend of freedom, knowing I have to go to work on Monday!!

Sounds like you had a good time.

I'd go with a Lexus...their quality is second to none. Infiniti is good, but my dad's '06 FX45 has lots of little nick-nack problems (like the driver's side seat motor keeps crapping out, his navigation doesn't work half the time, etc, etc). You won't see that with a Lexus.

I drove a G35 at a road test on a race track out in the bay area open to a select few (Along with a lot of other cars :D ). The G35 is without a doubt one of the least complete cars IMO. Nice interior, but for the price, its performance is far below what you will recieve out of similar cars in the same price range from Lexus, BMW, Acura, or even Mercedes (and I don't like Mercedes)..... I would stay away from the G35, or other infiniti for that matter, but the choice is up to you.
