Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Hamilton will not be in the lineup when the Broncos play at Indianapolis on Sunday and most likely will miss the next week's game against San Diego, too. Hamilton hasn't worked out at the Broncos' facility for weeks.

.....

According to teammates, as recently as last week the lineman was having trouble sleeping as well as driving. Shanahan said Hamilton encounters the same symptoms today that he did the first week after the injury. According to his agent, Peter Schaffer, Hamilton does not want to talk publicly about his situation.

I really hope that he does not get rushed onto the field, it is a scary situation and if he has to sit out the year etc.. I would be ok with that. Its all about his health and his future, hope he can recover soon.

It's an unfortunate injury from a football perspective but more importantly, a quality of life perspective.

If the specialist he's been seeing are'nt saying he can't or should'nt play this season, then i'm sure Mikey and Co. would have put him on IR by now.

So hopefully/maybe there's some hope there (in his return this season).

Hamilton is likely done, and I'm not joking.

As long as this has lasted, I think we all think that is a likely outcome.

I don't like the sounds of it. At the same time Trent Green has come back from pretty nasty concussion.

I'm hearing this too, and he will likely be placed on IR within the next couple of weeks.

That bits if his career is over prematurely. I always liked him and always believed he did a great job for us.

Denver's really been unfortunate with injuries to good players on their team. Wilson, Mobley, Gold (ACL), Hamilton and I'm sure there are a few others that I'm missing (even Ekuban this year) - but nonetheless, it just really bites that we've been such a victim to the bug as of recent.

TD and Howard Griffith had career ending injuries.

I wanted to come here and say YESSSSS!

But, I really hope the guy is ok. I don't like his play, but this head injury doesn't sound good at all.
