The 2011 draft is just 41 days away, and we’ve been tracking all of the latest workouts and visits scheduled by NFL teams with prospective draft picks.

The only teams that have set up BOTH a private workout and official team-facility visit with a particular player are as follows:

Panthers – Cam Newton.

Titans – Jake Locker.

Cardinals – Von Miller.

Broncos – Patrick Peterson.

if cardinals trade up for Miller at number 5 we can prob still get Fairley, Dareus or Quinn......figure Newton, Dareus, Fairley, Miller, Peterson, Bower, Green and gabbert and Quinn in the top group.

I can see # Car Newton, #2 AZ Miller, #3 Bills Gabbert, #4 Bengals Bower, #5 Den Dareus

Peterson is the only one on the list coming in for a private workout so far.

Just read that Patrick Peterson scored in single digits on the Wonderlic. What this means concerning his ability to be successful in the NFL, I'm not sure.

From above link:

"Peterson plays like a low-test guy," one NFL decision maker told PFW on the condition he remain anonymous, "but [if] he's in 'cat' [man-to-man] coverage in the NFL, it's not as big of an issue as it will be for offensive guys."

"He's a press corner," another longtime evaluator said. "His strong suit is that he can run and press. He won't play for the Patriots, where he's disguising coverage after coverage, but I still think he can be a No. 1 shutdown corner."

A scout with deep knowledge of the kid said, "The more I'm around him, the more I love him even more. I love the kid, and I love the talent. But I don't like the way he plays with his back to the ball. He has an instinct issue, and I think it's tied to his mental [ability]. He can only handle so much. He's not a quick processor. It's a scary year to be drafting in the top 10 because they all have some issue."

On second thought, you may be correct, according to this:

Broncos, Chiefs arrange high-profile workouts

A day after the Denver Broncos attended Blaine Gabbert's pro day at Missouri, the team has arranged a private workout with the quarterback. They also have a workout set up with Washington quarterback Jake Locker.

Denver is insisting that it is merely investigating players on its draft board. I get it and it’s a smart move. But for Denver to spend parts of two days with Gabbert means it is, at least, intrigued by the quarterback and it could consider taking him with the No. 2 pick. I still maintain Denver will go with defense, but this is interesting.

Such strong fandom that can be uprooted simply by a roster spot. Impressive.

Nope not the roster spot. The intelligence of those behind the wheel. Offense is not our problem and we have the winningist or most records or whatever college QB EVER on our roster. Giving up on him after 3 games and ignoring a defense that is 7th ALL TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL for an offensive player is STUPID!!!

And I would be tired of rooting for a team that is that stupid. Even Bill Devaroe knows that would be dumb.

I don't think I would give up being a Bronco fan but I would have some severe skepticism regarding the Broncos front office for taking another QB. I mean, why? Sure, McD took TT and maybe Fox/Elway aren't comfortable with him being so "raw". On offense, I see the need for depth at RB and maturity of the O-line as more important than drafting another future QB in this draft. Defense is the obvious need and should be the focal point in the draft. Elway said as much.
