Just a little something to think about. Bare with me, I'm a little bored at work. Any of these guys jump out at anyone as someone who would help this defensive line (our weakest link)?

DTs:
Rodney Bailey - i know some guys mentioned his name during the offseason
Rod Coleman - he got placed on IR and then cut by ATL, but he has had a pretty solid career and could help us out for the remainder of this season if healthy
Russell Davis - Production has fallen off since he was drafted in the 2nd round in 1999. Played in 11 games for NYG last season. Could bring some defensive experience and knowledge?
Ethan Kelley - Has been pretty solid over the past 3 seasons. This would be only his 5th season in the league, but had 24 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble in 13 games as a NT last year for Cleveland
Cedric Killings - Was non-existant in Houston the last 2 seasons
Babatunde Oshinowo - Nothing worth mentioning.
Ted Washington - Pretty solid career, but this would be his 18th season. Played for us in 1994...87 tackles and 6 sacks in 15 games.
Antonio Garay - nothing to mention

DE's
Bobby Hamilton - Decent career. Had 7 sacks in 2001 for NE but didnt do anything for Cleveland last year and was released (injury maybe?)
Tony Hargrove - Good young 2nd round talent, but has had troubles with the law and was suspended 4 games for violationg the league substance abuse policy.
Ross Kolodziej - not much to mention
Orpheus Roye - Decent career. Had 88 tackles in 2004 and 37 last year in 13 games.
Bo Schobel - Not much to mention
Al Wallace - Played in all 16 games 2002-2006. DNP last season?

I think last year proved that there isn't any defensive line talent just laying around out there... We've gotta dance with who brung us unfortunately.

Really... I thought the Browncos circa 2005 were a decent bunch. Better than our current unit I'd say. We should steal another teams D-Line.

they at least did not give up like 150 plus rushing yards a game and QBs did not have 3 hrs to throw the bacll

Their pass defense was decent as well, much better than Slowiks
inept bunch so far in 08

Good idea...lke maybe,

...TEN
...or DAL
...or BAL
...or CAR
...or...well hell, I'll just save everyone some time and not list the remaining 27 or so NFL teams that have a better DL than Denver's, huh?

I remember the Browncos in the Defense in 2005 being blitz-crazy. This is what helped bigtime then. Talent had not as much to do with it as the playcalling did IMO.

Then they got scared after getting walled by Pitt.

Don't forget, we took their D-line coach too.

Pass, we either break the bank on a trade (bad idea) or make due with the current trash we have.
