Welcome to the hockey board. We love all hockey fans, just not too many of us here, but we have a great time.

The Panthers are going to be an interesting team this year. Is all their young talent finally going to come together? They have a good goalie, some solid dmen and some very good young talent up front. But will it all come together?

Never been a fan of Martin and I think he may be the problem there. We'll see how it goes. Enjoy the games and look out for Wade Belak (Panther's Resident Goon).

Not a pnathers fan, no. Sorry, but a huge hockey fan.....Like he said, interesting year for the panthers. It could really be a bi-polar team this year.

One of my all time fav games. probably one of your all time hated games, was against us- the avs- where you were up something like 6-1 on us and fopa just took over the game with a hattrick and we came back and won 7-6 or something. Awesome game!!

I am a fan of the Hurricanes but resepect all hockey teams as I love
the sport very much so.

My Canes have not been the same since winning the Cup. I hope they bounce
back

I just think since Luongo left the Panthers have struggled but this is a new
year and you never know. Good luck and enjoy hockey the most underrated
sport there is. :beer:

its enjoying to listen on the radio......

790 am is the carrier and Thats what i listen too all day... Sports and comedy... Dan LeBatard is hilarious... Anyways.... the guy who calls the games on the radio is Randy Moller... The fans of the show call in and email what they want Moller to say when theres a goal scored..... We use movie quotes.... He is known for his witty responses after a goal... this year its better....

for example...

the other night he used...

"get in my belly" from austin powers
"who is you're daddy and what does he do" from kindergarten cop
"were going to need a bigger boat" from some movie i forgot...

the listeners are ubsessed with arnold shwartzenegger....

funny shit...

No shit...they could have at least waited th season out if they wanted to get rid of Pete. There were some people in the area that wanted him gone, but its not like the team is horrible...and we are only a couple years removed from winning the cup. I thought it was a dumb move :mad:

and bringing in paint dry maurice is not the answer.

If you wanted ass kicking then bring in John Tortorella. he would have fired up that team that has been mediocre as of late.

I have to say that I have been impressed with FLA this year.
I hope both the panthers and canes get in

with MTL and NYR missing or the Slugs

It is going to be a fun race down the stretch I hope

randy moller is th radio guy for the panthers... The local AM sports station i listen to all day has Dan Lebatard on.. Its a VERY funny show... Sports and comedy... Anyway.....

Being the flag ship station for the panthers Dan and the listeners came up with this goal call thing... very pop culturely funny...
