I wonder how many people bought tickets for tonight's home game against the Flames just to see Peter play again for Colorado?

PLENTY - it was either a sellout, or near sellout, and they expected walk up activity today.

What position does he play? And is Karl pissed?

He plays center traditionally, but was playing left wing the past two games for the Avs. I'm sure Karl is livid. I am.

He is 37 - had to leave the Avs, I think, 2 yrs ago, or maybe longer than that, as his foot was giving him trouble. He wanted to make a comback with the Avs, but it did not work out - not that he was not playing great, and I would imagine at his press conference today, he will state that the injured foot would not allow him to continue.

When Peter was playing, he was one of the all time great hockey players.

His press conference will be carried live at 2:30 on Altitude tv, and also live on the Avs website.

He is the Brett Favre of the NHL.

He has more class in his big toe than Brett Farve ever had:lol:

Good luck Peter, I always enjoyed watching you play. I loved it when you beat the Panthers and thier stupid Rats in 1996. You, Sakic and Roy were outstanding. Also thanks for helping the class act Ray Bourque get his cup as well:salute:
