Eddie Royal. Hip surgery. 6 months rehab. That's why they invtented the offseason.
I did not know this. It might explain a few things.
Wow. He will miss all the OTAs and maybe training camp. No bueno.

No wonder he sucked last year.
Hopefully he comes back a better player.

Thank you Nostradamus.
I'm guessing he is faking the injury in order to have an excuse for why he sucks.

good, hoping he'll stick around then. I like the guy. Maybe he won't be as ignored as he's been

There's a decent chance that his career is over. He certainly won't be as effective going forward. That really sucks for Eddie.

It's more like the Sidney Rice situation than the Rod Smith situation. I don't think it ends Royal's career but hip surgery for a guy whose job it is to run faster and better than other people is not exactly a bonus.
Fingers crossed. I like Eddie. Between him, DT and Decker tho I think we're about full-up on our injured-but-talented-WR quotient...

I think Decker's issues are behind him. DT got rushed back too fast last year, that much was apparent. I think Gaffney gets traded for a 5th or 6th rounder if we can find a buyer.

what the heck is this?
didn't he just play in the Pro-Bowl?
I looked up some info and speculation is that the groin injury may have affected the hip
ok, so COME ON THOMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so trying to joke, many on the board think us new fans only care about TT, so I was trying to poke fun, sorry it didn't come across that way, I will try harder

Not surprising. He was obviously playing hurt for most of the season. Hopefully he'll come back stronger next year.

Broncos wide receiver Eddie Royal, who caught only two passes over the team's final three games this past season, is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his hip.
Royal had the procedure done shortly after the season and the best case scenario is a five-month recovery that would have Royal back on the field at least on a limited basis if the team has organized team workouts in May.
There is a possibility the recovery could stretch into the six-month range.
