View Full Version : Did the Broncos Cause Gramatica's 43-Yard Miss?

In the replay video at NFL.com's Denver team page (http://www.nfl.com/teams/denverbroncos/profile?team=DEN), it appeared to me that the
Broncos had collapsed the entire left side of the Saint's line during Gramatica's
43-yard FG attempt. Did that cause Gramatica to push the ball to the right,
ever so slightly?

Might we add defense to luck on that play? Take a look and judge for yourself.

It could also be the shiny orange jerseys that distracted him. Then again, it might've distracted Cutler also. :D

orange might be better when its really sunny out and not on a snowy night.

blue on blue is better for prime time night games though.

from what they was saying on Mike and Mike on espn Gramatica bolted right after the game didn't even shower , straight to the team bus and to the plane ...
Betting that was not a fun plane ride for Gramatica or whoever was near him .

Poor guy. A kicker can make tons of crucial ones, but when he misses a big one, that's all people remember.

kickers shower after a game?!?!

Yeah. When i saw the play happen, my 1st thought was they collapsed the left side, (gramaticas left) and this might have caused him to panic at the last second, and shank it to the right to overcompensate.

I still think it was the holder with his ring and watch on. I half expected him to take his helmet off and have a bluetooth piece on his ear.

I thought it was on the holder. During the game they showed a replay of the kick froim behind and you could see the holder tilt the balls slightly to the right......

PEACE!!!

Could it have been that he's Martin Gramatica and that's why he missed?

The color announcer, Dennis Green, who is a former coach, as I'm sure you
know, said in the clip that it wasn't the kicker's fault. He was about to explain
that when the clip ended, so I didn't get to hear his explanation.
