So, at what point am I allowed to start calling Slowik the same sort of inbred retard as that Gates, Fates, whatever his name was coordinator from last season?

Can't run a coherent blitz package, makes a couple of more-than-decent corners look less than average, can't stop the run or the pass, can't keep the opponent out of scoring position unless the opponent helps him by screwing up.

In the last 6 quarters his D has forced 2 punts - TWO - and given up 57 points.

Gah. I need a drink. Go Broncos! Score more TDs - a LOT more!

Slowik, Robinson, Rhodes, Coyer, etc...makes no difference if you can't put pressure on the QB.

Denver has NO defensive linemen that can do the things necessary (pass rush, plug holes, and PLAY PHYSICAL) to win on a consistent basis and against teams with good offensive line's and QBs.

...playing well on the defensive line 2-3 games a year doesn't make you a good unit...

...CONSISTENTLY playing well does.

If people are tired of this crap, then get a good defensive line on board and this will stop.

Well, we can't say that yet.

Last year nobody HAD to throw on us. Our O wasn't a scoring machine and our D couldn't stop the run, so teams like the Jags just came in and MULCHED us on the ground.

This year, as that goal line shows, gashing us straight up the middle when we know it's coming isn't as easy. Thomas and Robertson are hard to move in that scenario. And our O is scaring people, so they feel like they need to score a lot too.

Which is exposing our pass rush (which sucked last year too) and giving me an ulcer.

It's certainly not a BETTER defensive showing thus far this year, but to start last season we weren't facing offensive juggernauts while the Saints and Chargers really CAN score.

I wouldn't call it much worse. Simply calling it "not an improvement" should be damning enough. :coffee:

Tough, gutsy drive. Props to the Broncos for realizing that scoring slower and grinding out the drive by adding the running backs back into the mix would help Jay as well as help the defense.

Our championship teams made a habit of lots of first half points and lots of 10 minute second-half drives to keep the possessions down.

So far they have given up 32 points, and they make ONE stop and its like they just won the SB or something.
